VIP Tour

I would recommend you keep with your original plan: Stay in DL for Fireworks and perhaps late Fantasmic, and WOC DP another night.
You will quite tired after a day on tour, and "Death March' between parks is not much fun.

Frozen seating along with a VIP Tour might need to be during the actual tour hours (rules can vary), so booking the Frozen Lunch package might be a better value.

I'm not sure what all has to be "in tour hours," but our tour ended at 4:45, and we still had reserved seating for WOC and the Electric Light Parade. Our seating for WOC was great! Central view, right behind the dessert party guests. I was just super happy to have a SEAT!

In the past, Frozen and Mickey's Magical Map had to be while on tour. I don't think that has changed. The night time shows can be done after the tour is completed.

Best money we ever spent was on our VIP tour in 2015 with the amazing guide Courtney! My kids were 5 at the time and still speak fondly of her and the amount of stuff we accomplished with her. We went again in 2017 and didn't get a VIP guide, and it's probably one of my biggest trip regrets.

If you can afford it, I'd recommend it to everyone!

Had you been to Disneyland prior to your tour? I'm just hoping I'm not disappointed since I have been to the parks quite a bit recently and know it all very well. I'm still super pumped on my tour, and I think it'll still be great to experience since we're going during Christmas time and we haven't been as a family during Christmas time. I'm nervous and excited!!

We are frequent visitors. But a couple times a year with family, we will do a tour. Mainly because we can get so much accomplished and we can do what the kids want. Such as riding Screaming 5 times in a row, or GOTG several times, or 10 times on Goofy's Sky Skool. (I don't ride Goofy's, but it is one of my granddaughter's favs.) We are always able to hit all the big rides, most of the smaller favs, and get a night time show in.
