Villians Sinister Soirée

Yup I'm with you HM after hallowwishes and my time was messed up 1 am waltz out..

Yes us New Yorkers do zip around like bats out of hell...

Ok all set?

Yes all set I only have one problem with your plans and mine

:( It's NOT for the same night

It looks as if they have added two soiree's to every night. They changed the wording on the website.

"taking place at both 10:15 PM and 11:45 PM on each night of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party."

I just booked for Sept. 14 yesterday and they told me that there was only one! I guess I will need to call back tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!

They made me do it :flower3: Who Is Getting Married ???

DD is getting married. Her fiance is terrified of Rope Drop so he won't even consider Disney for the honeymoon. So here I am switching between Disboards for my "the kids are back at college and my best friend moved across the country" trip to Disney next week and cruise searches for the honeymoon. And no...he won't even go on a Disney Cruise...we keep telling him there isn't a Rope Drop on the ship but...

I just booked today and got tickets for the later party. The web says the times are 10:15 and 11:45 but our reservation is for 11:30.

I wonder what my chances are of getting switched to the later time if there is still room?

I just did this (and was surprised my call got answered without a wait!) and was told that they will put a note in the reservation but there are no guarantees about how they'll accommodate it at special events. She just said there are lots of desserts and you can just pick something else, which seems inadequate given that there are only 4 desserts, that you're supposed to get all of them, and that it costs $99. This CM didn't seem too knowledgeable, though, so perhaps I'll call again later.

Thanks for the heads up, I will call on Friday when Im not working and see what answer I get, and to have them put a note in my reservation. I am just surprised that in today's day with so many allergies to nuts ingested and airborne that Disney who takes allergies very seriously would be offering anything with nuts
Don't get me wrong because I know a lot of people enjoy nuts but I don't see the big deal with swapping out or having a nut free menu for those that need it.

Does anyone know if I can get a diet drink or water at the party. The punch doesn't appeal to me? Also are there any sugar free options?

I am surprised that as sensitive as Disney usually is to food allergies that the would have half the desserts at a dessert party with nuts. Not a fan myself but I am pretty much just in it for the characters. Though the apple one sounds awesome.

Called this afternoon and was directed to the special diets line, 407-824-5967. They made a notation of the allergy and recommended I email special.diets@disneyworld.com with the allergy info, the name on the party reservation, and I think the name of the person with the allergy, and the reservation number.

Have no clue if it's sold out or not, but I will be more than likely giving up my Sept 26 2nd booking of the Soiree in the coming week(s) if anyone wants it.

After countless hours of research and internal debate, I have come to the conclusion that the Soiree is worth the price, just not worth it for my family this year. Don't want to chance my kids staying up that late even though they are up later than most typically, and want to keep the freedom of doing whatever we want after Jack and Sally and not tied down to one parade or one thing. We always go into the parks with a plan, albeit a fluid one, and that seems to work best for us.

Well you never know maybe he will come around in time with his thinking about Disney. Seems to be a common complaint one spouse not interested.

I'd say keep trying, many of us have reported switching the time.

I forget which reviewer said it but he said they were given water. I have no idea about the sugar-free options though.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'd be willing to bet this is going to be an option for years to come. No fun if kids are overtired

I couldn't come up with a plan for my MNSSHP night with the soiree that I booked a second MNSSHP night instead of struggling with a plan. Hopefully this way we can truly enjoy the party

That's our plan. There's a gap between the end of the parade and the start of fireworks so we will go grab some popcorn and a drink and move back a bit.

this will be an awesome party! it sounds like you have great plan

Has anyone booked the later seating for 9/14? I have talked to 3 different CMs this morning (and 2 yesterday) and some say it's sold out and others say the later seating doesn't exist. Just wondering what is correct? I already have the earlier seating booked but really want the later one. Thanks!

They've, (the phone CMs), had over a week to get their #$#% together on the Soiree now, and it sounds like they still don't. :scared1: Sorry, that is frustrating. I hope you get the later seating. Good luck.
