Villians Sinister Soirée

Does anyone know if there were Photopass Photographers at the Soiree in the Castle?
Booked for second seating 9/21!

none at the soiree, so be sure to bring your camera. There is supposed to be one taking photos in the reserved viewing area with a special magic shot for the soiree, read that on one of the Disney blogs but haven't seen confirmation of that.

I thought there was one exclusively for the soiree guests.

I read that too somewhere, but haven't seen that in any reviews from those who have gone to the Soiree. I am hoping for a special magic shot for soiree guests also.

Ruthie has our night all planned!! Yay!! Oh I REALLY want some of the magic photo pass shots!!

The photopass photographer did take a picture while we were waiting for the parade and had the kids pose a certain way and said it was something special for the soirée but I haven't had a chance to look at our photos yet, we just got back from our trip late last night and I've been busy trying to catch up in things at home.

I know several people including myself posted that they would like to know what accommodations would be made for people with allergies. I sent an email to special.diets@disneyworld.com asking them about this and this is an exerpt from the email I got back:

"There will be several special allergy items available at the Villains' Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle. Some products may have been produced in a plant that contains Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Soy and Wheat. Because this location may have a set menu, the location has requested advance notice for any special dietary request. We have received your request and will forward it to the location. Once you arrive, please alert your server and ask to speak with a Chef or Manager."

So glad to hear that they have already thought ahead to have special desserts available for people with allergies. I would still recommend that anyone with an allergy send an email like I did so that the Special Diet Team can forward the information to the location. They probably need to know how many people will be at each seating with allergies so they can have enough of the desserts for allergy sufferers ready. I just included my name, the name of my daughter and what allergy she suffers from, the reservaton number and the Primary Name on the reservation. Hope this helps everyone.

I was wondering if anyone that went to the last soiree took their desserts home (or resort) with them. I'm asking because my DH will most likely NOT eat his desserts. He's a very picky eater and I would like to bring them back to eat at a later time. It isn't a buffet, so I was hoping I'd be able to.

Yes, they did have boxes to bring home any unfinished food. They also gave us a bag to put the dragon cup n that had the lid and straw for the cup in it.

Thank you very much for the update it is good to now that Disney is addressing this as they handle it very well for regular reservations. I just sent in my email will let everyone know what Disney says.

I got the exact same message Wednesday, so this is a standard message that everyone who sends this email will likely get. (By that I mean that, unless you have an odd allergy that requires specific communication from the chef, we can probably expect to get the same thing.) It's helpful confirmation, though, that there are allergy alternatives at this event. I was concerned the special event status would mean limited options, but I was assured by phone that this is no different that other dessert events in terms of their ability to accommodate folks.

I included the phone number for Special Diets in one of my earlier posts (don't have it handy and I'm on the app), so it might be worth it to also give a call and have a note in your reservation.
