Is it possible to get a studio at the Wilderness Lodge at the 7 month mark for the Fri, Sat, and Sun. following Thanksgiving. I would love to stay here but it's probably a terrible time, right? Just trying to come up with a plan for next year.Thanks

That's the first week of December. The busiest week of the year for DVC. Good luck. It can't hurt to try, but don't be disappointed if you can't.

ETA... well it's the first week of December this year. LOL Next year, it's technically the 28th, 29th, and 30th of November still. But I think it will still be busy. Thanksgiving travelers will still be there and 1st week December crowds will be arriving.

I think it will be tough. Certainly give it a shot but I would make a backup reservation at my home resort at 11 months out to be sure I had a room. Good luck.

We got a studio last year at the 7 month mark, I had to adjust my dates a bit, but it was the first week of December ...loved it so much, we added points on there.

One of the resorts we have not stayed at as DVC members, but it was the resort that inspired us to buy into DVC. Back in 2003 we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and loved it.

Obviously, since you have no home resort listed on your post it's hard to know if you will get that ressie. If you have an 11 month window as that is your home resort....maybe you can get that. However, if you wait for the 7 month widow as its not your home resort...you may /or may not get that depending on availability. Many stay in the area or come to DVC locations after Thanksgiving ---one of the most popular booking times because of decorations etc. going up. Good Luck.

We got Monday Tuesday Wednesday of thanksgiving week this year. Did a wait list at 7 months and it came through a month or so later. There's hope!

It's also our first time staying there. It's the last dvc resort on the east coast we haven't been to yet. We've only been members for four years, but it seems like it took us forever to get to VWL. Can't wait!

We have a quick 2 night stay before boarding this cruise ship this year 12/27 - 12/29.
Yesterday, I was able to change to VWL from OKW-HH. I am still waitlisted for BLT and VGF, but we have never stayed at VWL and are looking forward to it.
Keep checking, and work the waitlist!
