The tickets are non refundable and I need 4 tickets. I am going easter week and worry they will sell out. My daughter sometimes gets sick and has severe pain that hits her hard. I am so afraid to purchase these tickets in advance as it will be $600 + dollars for our group. Tickets are limited. Is it risky to wait til the day of the event to purchase?

I don’t know if I’d say it’s risky - but there is some level of risk... if that makes sense. This is the first year we’ll see Villains After Hours (VAH) events through the busy Spring Break / Easter time, so not much precedent to look to in terms of past performance. Of the 10 VAH events during the first run this past summer, 2 sold out (both day of). Regular Disney After Hours (DAH) does have some precedent for selling out some dates around busier times such as Spring Break.

But the market is pretty flooded with VAH and DAH events this Spring. My guess is that fact will lead to fewer/minimal sell-outs... BUT, the one thing I’ve learned in my time following WDW is to not underestimate two types of Disney people....Villains people and Star Wars people..... so, that’s why I say there is some level of risk (especially during one of the busiest weeks of the year).

Aside from sell outs, you likely want to at least buy 1 day in advance if you can since the day of price is an extra $10 per ticket.

Lastly... while tickets are non-refundable, Disney does have a reasonable reported track record with working with folks when unfortunate circumstances arise. It may be in the form of a Disney gift card or ticket for a future event, but at least that is better than being totally out the cost of the ticket.
