I'm trying to figure out if we should go shopping and stay at WLV one bedroom next summer, or stay in a WL Woods View room and add on the silver package. Two adults, two kids. Does anyone have any advice? I've never added on a meal (wishes) package, and I didn't know if it is a good value. Those who do this package, do you use your wishes for meals, and do you get your money's worth? We have stayed at OKW and liked the extra room, and ease of doing laundry. Thanks for any advice.

It really depends on where you eat, and what you use your wishes for. If you are planning on using your wishes strictly for meals, you really need to sit down, and figure out where you will be going to eat, and what you are likely to get. For example, if you are planning on using a wish for a character breakfast each morning, you may not get your money's worth from the wishes, as the cost of a character breakfast is less than half the cost of two wishes you must pay for each night, so then you have to make up the cost in another wish.

If you are planning on using the wishes for tours, recreation, or spa treatments, you can definitely get your money's worth.

When I used the wishes, I had a total of six wishes which cost $217. I used it to take two tours, three meals (including one very expensive meal at Wolfgang Puck's), and one memory box. I spent well over $300 on those items, so I definitely got my money's worth.

I would suggest sitting down and figuring out how you would use your wishes, and deciding if it would be worth it for your family.

I've read here that the wishes value come out to approx $34 each. Make sure you don't use them on meals that cost less than that. Tours, signature & sit down meals, and some recreation activities seem to be the best deals.

Is there any way to know ahead of time how many wishes a particular meal or activity will cost? Is there a list somewhere?

Almost every resuaurant takes wishes, the only one that des not is Victoria & Alberts.

Some take 2 (CG is one of them).

Debs site www.allearsnet.com or the main Disney site has a list of the Silver Plan wishes and restaurants.

We are using the Silver Plan on our upcoming and have already booked the KTTK tour, and the sprit of aloha dinner show.

It's nice to have everything paid for in advance, not going to use them for counter service though, I have figured out that while we may not always use the full value of a wish on everything, we are still ahead on cost vs. value.

Definatly going to get the crystal figurine on my last day (2 wishes)

On mousesavers.com they have info. about how to best use your wishes.
