Villa kitchens- do they have it all?

We are staying in a 2 BR villa at Old Key West. I'm wondering if they have things like dish towels, spatulas, griddle or frying pan, pot holders, flatware, plates, etc. or do I need to bring the extras and they just have the stove, fridge, microwave.

Also, do they supply laundry detergent for the washer/dryer or should I pick up a travel size and take it with us?
Boy-all this cooking and cleaning talk makes me feel like I'm taking my work with me on vacation!!
We like to cook our own breakfast nice and early.
By the way, we will have daily housekeeping and I'm doubting that housekeeping cleans the kitchen for us, but if anyone knows otherwise, let me know!

Don't worry! The kitchen's in the 1,2 and 3 bdrm villa's are fully equipped. You'll have plenty of pots,pans,utensils, plates,glasses,wine glasses, silverware,etc.
The only thing you'll need to supply is food and eaters-lol
You will need to clean up the kitchen though, housekeeping is not likely to do your dishes. They may throw a few things in the dishwasher that are left on the counter but not likely to scrub the pancakes from the griddle pan.

As for detergent -- I'm a dvc member and we just get a small box of Tide - enough for one load of wash until they come back for trash-n-towel service but being that you will have daily housekeeping, you may get one box per day. If you find you need more, you can always either get more from Conch Flats general store by the Hospitality house or pick up some more when you do your grocery shopping for your stay (they have publix and winn-Dixie and regular supermarkets).

Lucky You! We stayed in a 2 BR at OKW and loved it! The kitchens are indeed fully equipped - 3 sizes glasses, dishes, flatware, utensils, can opener, cork screw, knives etc. I have seen on the DVC Board where some choose to bring a "Non-Stick" frying pan, as the one supplied is not non-stick.
Don't forget to bring Bath Salts for the Whirlpool Tub! Have a great time!

I was told they do a light cleaning on the kitchen...wipe off counters, sink etc. If there are dishes in the sink, they'll put them in the dishwasher and maybe even turn it on!!!

I'm assuming you're fairly sensible and realize that it probably wouldn't be nice to leave plates full of food laying around and such , but I think you can expect them to give the kitchen a light once over.

hi: housekeeping will re-supply you with dishwasher detergent if you run out. for laundry, i just either bring with me or pick up on the way the laundry tablets (Tide, Wisk, etc.). they travel nicely in the suitcases along with the dryer sheets in a zip-loc bag. you'll be surprised how nice it is not to have to pack a lot and just be able to throw a load of laundry in right in your room. just be warned-once you stay in a 1br or larger unit, it will be very tough to go back to a studio or regular hotel room. we haven't cooked on vacation in years; i think my dil used the stove once about 3 years ago to heat water for tea.

I'm feeling quite lucky to be here! We did a favor for the daughter of a Disney Exec and he upgraded us from a 1 room moderate to a 2 BR villa as a thank you! Wow! We weren't expecting ANYTHING in return, but he said it didn't cost him anything to do it and he wanted to.
I can't find any complaints about the resort and for the price we paid, I'm ecstatic! Now I feel like I need to send HIM a thank you gift!
