Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

I wonder if there will still be an abundant of ads, or if only a couple ads will show up whenever you check into a show? Guess we'll have to wait and see...I think Viggle did this to stop (or reduce) ad slamming.

Viggle must not have started this morning, I've been able to watch ads (and get points) and I haven't checked into anything yet.

Yeah, that is not good. I can check ads at work during the day but generally cannot check into shows until the evening.

I check into public access everymorning and it maxes out at 300 viewing points per watching session try doing that before you leave for work or even from work with manual check in....

I was also wondering about the new check in rules...you only get points for being checked into shows for 12 hours, but you can be checked in longer and get no points and still get ads im sure...we will have to wait and see! It might actually help me I often focus on ads adn bonus shows but dont max out my 12 hours

I'm still getting ads this morning, too. Which is good, because we don't get TV any more-just use netflix and hulu plus-so I haven't checked in to any shows.

There is not a 12 hour limit - I get points for watching for a minimum of 18 hours almost every day.

Before I go to bed i check into one of the shopping channels and get points for 6-8 hours overnight. I check into HLN every morning from 6am-12noon. When I get home, I check into CSPAN from 5-8 then do the shows unitl I go to bed.

Viggle may say there is a limit but I have not seen one and I've been doing this since Feb/Mar without any issues.

There's a 12 hour daily limit. You can check into more but you won't get more points than the daily limit of 6,000 points. All this info can be found in the FAQ section on the ap.

i never said that you can get more than 6000 points per day just that you can get more than 12 hours worth of check in time @ 1 point per minute. Everyone says there is a 12 hours limit of 720 points.

Dumb question - is anyone getting any ads other than the Jet Blue trivia thing? I've been only getting that, and it's on every show. If I do it every time it's pffered, does that get me in trouble with Viggle?

I have done the trivia a few times thinking it would be different questions. The sad thing is, even after doing them more than once I am still getting some wrong!! I am not going to touch them anymore though...don't want to risk getting banned (if I haven't already).

But does that mean I already have 4 hours towards my 12 for today?

Not sure how that works but I did a bunch of ads Thursday night and got all the points between 2:00 and 5:00 am Friday morning. Things were really s-l-o-w.

For me...THERE IS NO 12 HOUR LIMIT!!!

Viggle says a of things that are not true:

• you can only checkin to shows with 24 hours of airing to get the bonus points ... many people have checked into shows up to a week after airing and got points
• there is a 12 hour limit for watching....I have for the past 4 months got 18+ hours of check in minutes nearly every day
• i'm sure there are others...

If everyone wants to think there is a 12 hour limit...all you are doing is limiting the points you could be getting every day. For me, I'll keep checking in all day long and getting those points every day.

Totally agree. I wanted to post something, but I didn't want to get into any confrontations. Some people get banned for ad smashing, and others don't. So some people may get away with checking in over the 12 hours daily limit, but others might get banned for it. So I personally wouldn't suggest that anyone do this. If someone got flagged because I told them to check in past the limit, I would feel bad.

totally understand and agree but i've been doing it since viggle started and never been banned, warned or otherwise...just any easy way to pick up a few extra points each day...try it at your own risk!
