I have used the spectator tool to come up with a plan to view my friend and have adjusted it a little based on what I have read here. Would love it if those more experienced could take a look at my plan to see if it is reasonable. She is expecting to run a 9.5 or 10 minute mile.

Here are my planned viewpoints:
Starting location
Mile 4
Mile 10 - Main Street in MK
Mile 12.5 - Polynesian (Grab breakfast here after my friend passes by)
Mile 25 - England in Epcot
Finish area

I am thinking that I might be cutting it close to make it to the Poly. Also, I am pretty sure I won't make it to the finish line in time to see her if I go to England but I am ok with that since I can still meet her at the Reunion area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good luck everyone!!!

Personally I'd skip the Main Street part and head right to the Poly. Main Street is packed and the runners, at least in my experience, can't really find their family/friends unless they are right up front and really obvious.

The only thing I would offer is that the mile 4 viewing point is not a very good one. It's dark, crowded and very difficult to see your runner at and even tougher for the runner to see you.

Mile 2.6 is much better if you are going to be in the Epcot parking lot anyway. It is well lit and you can spread out to assure a race front spot.

Where is 2.6? The Epcot monorail station. You are going to head there anyway so why not do it as you say cia to your runner. Then you are just steps away from your transportation to the MK.

Depending on how fast your runner is, you may have a problem with the Poly, but I know several folks do that jump. If you want some assurance of seeing in two spots, I would suggest TTC and Poly.

We do the Mile 25 meet. Then Mary heads to the reunion area. Unless your runner is completely broken you will have a tough time getting out of the park and to the finish chute. I can usually get through the finish area and then to the gate to the reunion area about the same time she does.

Do pick out a meet up spot while waiting for the call to the corrals. We actually have a tree at the entrance that we meet up at.

Speaking of Mile 25 at England, has anyone ever stopped there for a pint? I know people stop to ride Expedition Everest during the race, so why not a quick pint before the finish?

Thanks for the replies. Based on all the advice, I will adjust some of my viewpoints so that I have a better chance of seeing my friend (like skipping mile 4 and instead doing mile 2.6). I might just skip the MK spot...considering I am short and so is my friend it might not be worth going there.

If it is any help my 4-7 (minnie sized) DW finds a great little spot at TTC annually. There are a few corners that you can work into that make you a focal point for the runner.
