Viewing fireworks from Poly beach

Great! Thank you! The other place I heard is good is in front of 7DMT? Good info? If so, I figure we would base our decision on if we wanted to be already out of the park and close to our car, or if we still wanted to be in the park for a few more rides afterward (if they end up extending June hours).

i think by mine train is behind the castle and only good if youve never seen the fireworks before..otherwise your constantly turning around because the fireworks are on opposite sides of you

I didn't stop by the CR viewing area this trip, but I did check the GF areas. The GF areas (marina deck and shuttle dock) had poor-to-no audio from the show. Narcoossee's deck had great audio, but it is now designated ONLY to guests of that restaurant. Sad that Disney seems to have let lapse their attention to these details.
I did not know that only guests can visit that great location. I will stop sending folks there. I wish that Disney woudl correct the audio problem in the Marina area.

I made it to the Poly for the fireworks.

I have to disagree with seeing the fireworks head on from the Poly being so superior than from the angle at CR. The Poly is MUCH farther away than CR. And yes, at the CR you are off to the side a little bit, but you are SOOOO much closer, I think that more than makes up for it.

Our favorite place to watch wishes is the Poly. We like the straight views and love the resort. This is from this past October for the special Halloween Wishes.

Were you staying at the Poly or just there to watch the fireworks? We are planning to go down to the beach after dinner at Kona in mid-October and am now hearing that if it's too crowded the beach is restricted to Poly guests only.

Unless it is a special holiday time, the beach should not be very crowded.

What do you think about a Sunday night in mid-October? Our plan was dinner at Kona then watching from the beach but we are staying at Beach Club and am now hearing that if it's too crowded the beach is restricted to Poly guests only.

1. Since that's not a holiday time, the beach should not be very crowded.
2. It won't be crowded in October.
In the past, (except for specific holiday events) the Poly beach might have less than 25 guests watching the fireworks. Many of the Poly guests interested in viewing MK fireworks, book rooms with an MK view and watch from there (with good MK audio piped in on a TV channel.)
And, even then, many of them will be at other parks on any given night.

Thank you for the reassurance! :)

What's the commute time like from leaving MK/boarding the monorail, to arriving on the beach at Poly?

sorry a slight hijack, but is the view better from the beach than Ohana's? As I have a reservation that I might/might not be finished with by the time the fireworks come on..

So just wanted to know if it's better to eat a little bit quicker to make sure I get to the beach to take a look. Or take my time over the meal to get the Ohana view?

If you watch them from the california grill(hallowishes) as well as in the park twice would you bother to rush in Ohana to watch it as well from polynesian?

than ks for the maps btw!

I like them both.
There can be trees that partially block the view in Ohana.
Ohana offers much better audio.
You won't necessarily be seated at a window table.
Guests can move (and stand) to find a better view, being careful not to block the views of others.

1. That all depends on your interest in the MK fireworks.
Some people watch the same movie many times. Some don't.

2. You're welcome.
