One bedrooms are located throughout the building. Though many suggest it, consider not requesting close to lobby. The Kidani building is almost 2/3 mile long down an internal hallway end to end. Rooms on the north wing can be as far as a 1/3 mile from the lobby and the south wing only a little shorter. As a result of many getting rooms near the end of the wings and having to walk forever to get to anything, the most common request now made is close to lobby. That also results because it is an allowed online check-in request. If you get it fine, but more and more members have not been getting it because it is so over-requested. The problem is that when the resort cannot meet a location request, it does not try to get you something close to what you requested. It just sticks you anywhere where there are rooms open, and that anywhere for many who request close to lobby has become the rooms near the end of the wings.
If you want to be close to pool or transportation, choose which one is more important because those two things are not close to each other. The front entrance to the building faces west, the south wing runs toward the front of Jambo, and the north wing seems to just run to some other county (the resort is actually in two different counties). The pool is on the north wing and the bus station on the south wing. A near the pool request would put you on the north wing not too far from the lobby. You could instead ask for a room near the Rafiki elevator. Each wing has three elevators. The one on each wing near the lobby has no name, the other two on each wing are named. All the elevators go down as low as the ground floor, which has the under-building parking lot. Going down the Rafiki elevator to the ground floor gives you the shortest possible walk from the building to an entry gate to the pool area.
For close to the bus station which is on the south wing, you can request close to transportation, or close to community hall, or close to the Timon elevator (down that elevator to second floor gives you a short walk to a doorway that leads right to the bus stop). Your walk to lobby with any of those requests will not be too far.
Besides any location request, you should also request Sunset Savanna view. That is more than 80% of all the savanna view rooms at Kidani and you will see giraffes and zebras. The Pembe savanna has neither of those. Moreover, the rooms overlooking the Pembe savanna range in distance from being somewhat too long from the lobby to 1/3 mile. Some also request lower floor for a more direct sight line to the animals, while others prefer higher floor for more panoramic view.
