View from the BWV Grand Villas Question

Can you see the "Illuminations" firework display from the balcony of the BWV Grand Villas? We're finishing (over)planning for our first trip "home" and have reserved one of the tour boats to watch the MK fireworks from the Lagoon, but are concerned that it might just be too late a night for our boys... Fireworks at MK don't start until 10:00 PM. Thinking of cancelling out on the boat and just catching the Epcot fireworks from the room. Thoughts or observations from folks who've done either the "Wishes" boat thing or veteran BWV types greatly appreciated.

All the BW Grand Villas have a Boardwalk view, so you'll see some fireworks. You'll catch the high Illuminations fireworks from your room, but nothing like watching it from Epcot as there are quite a few low ones that you'll miss as well as the music. Also, over the YC you can catch some of the high MK fireworks, but you'll miss the thrust of the show. I know about little ones being tired early, I have two 4 and 7, and have missed MANY fireworks shows. It's not bad, just not nearly good as being there.

The view of Illuminations from the boardwalk view villas is very good and they are very close; but you do miss the globe and the lower fireworks. We have always been able to hear the music from our boardwalk view balcony. I would still try to be in Epcot, for at least one showing of Illuminations, they always start at 9 and you will be a short walk away from your villa afterwards. This is one of the Epcot resorts big advantages. The other nights watch them from your balcony with the kids in pajamas, and it will still be very magical.
We think watching Wishes from behind the partners statue in the park gives you a better view then from the Wishes Cruise. Cinderella's castle is a focal point of Wishes and you miss this from the boat.
