View from a BWV standard 1 BDR?

I have a 1 bedroom standard view booked at the Boardwalk Villas for our trip this summer. I was curious as to what the view might be from the standard view compared to a preferred.

Std view is likely overlooking the entrance and maybe some greenery. Preferred is overlooking pools, canal, and village green. Boardwalk view is technically preferred view. But, it muts be booked as boardwalk view.

We had a standard view in June and it was great. I loved saving the points.

We have almost always stayed in a standard view and they are great. Our best one was the view of the tennis courts. Those rooms had a nice quick exit down some stairs to the pathway to MGM too. Most do overlook the entrance way as CapeCodFam has already mentioned. Many even have a view of Illuiminations depending on what floor you are on (higher the floor and farther from the elevator have the best view).

Don't worry. You will love it.

We were just on the 5th floor (5083 is the 1br portion), about opposite the part of the driveway the taxis and buses stop in. There was plenty of yard in between and there was no noise inside the villa. On the porch, of course you could hear the engines, but it was not bad at all.

Illuminations fireworks visible over the BWI and the pond with fountain over to the right.

I'm sold on the standard views! It was great!

Standard views have worked well for us. We usually have a 1 bedroom and have faced the entrance and the canal. As others have said, there's lots of green space and the canal usually has some ducks. We've never had a problem with noise from the entrance/traffic. One year we were on the fourth floor and could see parts of Illuminations.

We've only had one standard view that we didn't like. We had a studio on the second floor that faced the infamous red building. The building is now gone so hopefully the view will improve for those.
