Hey All!!

We had originally opted out of video for the big day, but as we getting closer ( 21 October close to be exact :) ) I am thinking of getting it.

For those of you who have or are going to opt for video... some pros and cons?

Also, we don't want the talking, well maybe just for our vows. So we are not doing the option with the couple interview and what not. My luck he'll get on camera and tell them either something embarrassing or that my hair smells nice... lol - However we want to pick our own music... can we?

Thanks !!!

Hi! We are using Trinity Wedding Video (4 days after your big day!) and they have asked us for song choices :goodvibes

i did not want video but opted for it because we wanted to do a webcast and STVS video offered the webcast as an add on. i am glad we did it now, after the fact. we really did do a minimal package though, ceremony and he had enough time to get our reception space and character interaction (which was during the pre-reception time) init. i am really glad to have the video of the reception space especially. we were asked about song choices, but there is a bit of "stock" footage/music in the dvds - but all in all, i'm really glad we did it! the ~3" montage thing at the end is awesome - my main caveat is just realize they are video-ing y'all all the time! i walk like a big galoot in half of it!:scared1:

Just wanted to share this with everyone...

I decided to add video today. We are going through the people at www.orlandoweddingfilms.com.

For 620 they are doing basically unlimited footage. Getting ready, pre ceremony footage, enitre ceremony, entire cocktail hour, interviewing our guests, entire reception and then meeting up with us the day or two after for a couple hours to interview my fiance and I seperately about how we met, thoughts about the wedding, and making it into a story.

We get a DVD of all of the raw footage, 4 copys of the final edited DVD which will include songs we pick and video/pictures we send in addition that we have already had taken, etc. We get all sorts of say in the final product and we could not be happier.

They are running that special for the rest of 2011 so I wanted to make sure to pass it along to all the other disbrides that might be thinking about whether or not to have video, I say do it! For this price and what they offer, I think it's a steal!

We were on the fence about a video and we were both really glad we got one. It really lets you relive the day and there are things that can't be captured in photos. The day goes so quick and there are also things you miss because you weren't there or didn't notice and it was fun to see that on the video. I also think that with a destination wedding it's especially nice because there will be people that can't make it and it's nice to be able to share that with them.

Wedding video is absolutely not sloppy, because this will be your best memories in life

We're not big video people either. Since we are having a small wedding and then a large reception back home, we wanted our ceremony taped so people could watch it at the reception. We decided to go with: http://www.mlphotovideo.com

They gave us a great price on a customized package. We're only having 1 hr of videography in order to cover the ceremony.

I'm having so much trouble finding someone. I really like Stoner and Simply Cimematic but they're way over the budget. Didn't like STVS angles but the price is really good. There's a lot of people out there in the Orlando area, I just need to keep on searching. At first we didn't want video but the day goes by so fast, it'd be neat to have a keepsake of the day for generations to view. =)

Video for us was a priority so we budgeted for it. We used KeyMoments of Orlando. Mary was so wonderful to work with. We had her and her assistant from getting ready to the end of the reception. I can't wait to watch it. The day goes so fast and I know there are so many things I missed that can't be recreated with photography alone. I want to see DH and my other party members walk down the aisle. I want to re-live the ceremony. I was so happy that I had a hard time really paying attention to everything that was happening and being said. Our speeches and toasts were so beautiful but that's all I remember - not exactly what was said. And it will be nice years from now to watch our grandmothers and family members who are no longer with us having fun and dancing with Mickey and Minnie.

I also have several friends who said they watch their video every year on their anniversary and re-live the vows. One of my girlfriends said her children love to watch the video and watch it often.

This is who we used. I can't give my review yet because we don't have our video yet, however he just contacted me and asked for songs that we want in the video (still have to pick them out). The only review I can give at the moment is he did a great job while he was there, we barely noticed him at all. He is very flexible and will work with whatever you want, he even threw in a Blu-ray copy for us for no additional charge.
