Video of Pluto chasing a kid

This is the description posted in the youtube video:

"Pluto is attacked by a Disneyland tourist. I'm not sure why Pluto is chasing the kid, but Pluto returned with another park employee who talked with the woman that pushed him. Pluto then left the scene with the park employee. Everything appeared to be settled peacefully."

A couple of observations:

1. The little kid was unmistakably whacked out on a sugar rush, and not being controlled by his exhausted parents decided to pull Pluto's tail to illicit a response from said fuzzy beasty.
2. If you look closely at the fuzzy video footage, you can clearly see foam at the edges of Pluto's mouth. Therefore, he must have been rabid and unable to control himself from chasing said beasty child.
3. Angry woman who had just stood in line for 2 hours at Splash Mountain just as it broke down, decided that she would take out her frustrations by interjecting herself into the fray and assaulting Pluto.

Seems like the most plausible explanation until the details of the lawsuit are revealed.

On one of the versions on YouTube, you can clearly hear the woman say "Stay away from my son"!

I really think the kid did something to Pluto. After all, that's why they have the handlers now to protect the characters. It makes no sense that Pluto would be running around in a hot costume like that just for fun.

I bet the lady has no idea she was filmed. If she did, that's when we would hear about the lawsuit.

Here are a few things to consider:

-the woman didn't push pluto. he tripped over the curb that he didn't see.
-after looking at it, it looks like Pluto got ticked off at the kid for some reason. after the running was over, you see him pull on his ear and point at the kid, as if the kid had pulled on Pluto's ear, and probably almost pulled the head off, hence why it ticked the dog off so bad.
-Being a character is a fun, but HARD job to have. I know the characters are supposed to be nice. However, I was the mascot for my high school for a period of time and it can get hot in those things, and it can mess with your head.
-these days there is supposed to be a character attendant with every character to make sure they as well as the public are safe. where was the character attendant? he/she could have prevented that kid from doing anything.
-where was the kids guardian(s)? I see either gross child neglect or bad parenting for letting their kid get away with doing anything, even giving a cm a hard time. Either way, the parents should be ashamed of themselves.

When I have kids and take them to WDW, I'll tell my kids to be nice to the characters because the characters take time out of their schedule to spend time with their fans and sign autographs. And if my kids do something like pull on them or do anything of that accord, they will get an immediate spanking. Just my two cents.

If Pluto truly was CHASING this boy, not in a playful manner. He was in the wrong. The character playing Pluto is an adult, who should certainly know better and should be able to control his temper. As I stated before, what do you think he intended to do when he caught him? If he was chasing him that fast, maliciously, I don't think he was going to shake his finger at him a little and leave. He should absolutely be fired if he was chasing this child for any reason other than in a playful manner. Hot or not, you can't attack a guest, whether it be an adult or child.

As for the parents, I still think they would have been after Pluto instantly, if he was maliciously chasing the boy. But who knows. That boy looks way too young to have been visiting with characters without a parent, so i think they had to be in the picture somewhere. Yet they didn't feel the need to stop Pluto, until POSSIBLY the woman who knocked him down, was his mom?? But even then, why did she wait so long to step in. Most parents have an instinct to instantly protect their child, but she waited until Pluto ran in her direction to do anything.

I don't really think we will ever know what really happened.

Being as nothing came out in the news and the kid seemed to come back for more instead of hiding my unofficial opinion is that it was all in good fun.

Well he/she was pushing people out of the way to get to that kid so that is pretty bad right there.

I have no idea what to think about this....

It doesn't seem like "playing" to me. I think the child did something and things got out of hand. One thing I noticed when I paused the video at the very beginning, the girl in the orange skirt looks like she saw something shocking. She's looking past Pluto (maybe at the boy) with her hand covering her mouth...may be a coincidence but maybe not?
