Victoria's Secret vent...

They need to change WHERE they make their products. Not going to go into a long rant about it, but they choose the absolute worst exploitive sweatshop places to make their clothing which we all know is expensive. I do admit I sometimes shop with them but really felt guilty once I really looked into it. And for me, the bras still fit fabulous. But some of their other products are not sewn well, etc., etc.

The quality for what they charge is CRAP! I bought a pair for around $5 when they were having their annual sale-- they orginally went for $21! First wash-- two rips! And that was on the gentle cycle, in a lingerie bag. So not worth it!

For those of you that switched to Jockey...do the sizes run the same? Or do you need to go up or down a size from the VS size?

I hate the new ones too. They seem to have done away with the low rise bikini which is my staple. I've worn the same style for years. Last time I tried to change because I thought they were so expensive I spent a ton of money buying ones from Target and NONE of them fit, so I just went back. Thanks!

I placed a $100+ order and got it in the mail last week. The Body by Victoria line has been revamped since I last ordered and none of them fit!! I have actually lost 10lbs recently and I was worried they would be too big. The bra fit well but I hate the little bow and medallion in the center. Looks like the tag is still on it. Needless to say I sent all the underwear back and I hope the bigger size works.

they're garbage now. i have a pair i've worn ONCE, put them on for the second time the other day, and there were THREE holes on the right leg seam! their undies used to last for years, now they last for a day.

I agree. They used to be my favorite brand but I stopped buying them. They definitely aren't what they used to be!! :thumbsup2

I am so with you! The underwear isn't even 100% cotton anymore! They fit terribly and the stretch material feels awful! I started a thread about this several months ago, but I don't know how to link threads. I did find that the new "mid-rise brief" fits sort of like the old bikinis did. It has more "back coverage" than the new style bikini. I won't be buying from VS again, and I plan to call their customer service number and tell them exactly why (if I can ever find the time to make that call!)

Email them! I did, and asked them about returns. The sent me an "automated" response that they only take returns that are unwashed/unworn. I sent an email right back saying "Thanks, but you didn't answer my question or address my concern". I got another email back, from another CS rep, who offered me a $25 gift card. I'll take it, and buy some jammies or something. Hopefully I can find something that fits right!

I told them they need to go back to the original fit/cut. Maybe if enough people complain, they will. In the meantime, I told them they lost me as a customer. I'm grouchy when my underwear are crawling up my a$$!:lmao:

I hear you LOUD and CLEAR! The last ones I bought: one pair had a rip in the seam after the first wash and another pair... my thumb went straight through the fabric when I put them on! Talk about thin! I've been wearing VS undies for about 20 years and they were the only brand I liked. Now I have to find a new brand. :sad2:

I wear a variety of VS underwear including the cotton string bikinis and hiphuggers. I also get their cheekies because I love those but I have never had any problems with them and i have been using them for years.

They are the only place I can get bras that actually give me support because of my size. I am in love with The Perfect One!

Return them.

VS has a pretty good customer satisfaction policy, and I would be willing to bet that if you explain how they seemed to shrink up in the wash, they'd taken them back.

I agree they are very lenient with their return policy.

Ewwwwwwwwww returned panties?

I think there is an Ebay site for that actually.. :rotfl2:

I love their panties, but they are SO overpriced. Seriously? $10 for a single hip hugger from the "Very Sexy" line or whatever it is? Ugh. I used to love the whole $5 for $25 deal they have but I just simply can't afford them anymore. I can find panties that are just as cute at Charlotte Russe for $3 a piece. Or if I'm feeling really cheap, I'll go to Wal-Mart and buy a 5-pack for $6. :lmao:

As for their bras...they are very overpriced as well and while they fit me okay for the most part, they fall apart after awhile! And don't even get me started on the bra fitters. One told me I was a 38B when I have been wearing a 36A for years with no problems. Seesh. To be fair, I did try on the bra she suggested in the 38B and it fit GREAT, but it was $50!!! :scared1:

On a note that is unrelated to product quality...there is one VS that used the have the RUDEST sales staff ever. One time I went in with my (now ex) boyfriend, and while I was in the fitting room, he said that nearly every one of them flirted with him even though he was clearly with me. I believe it too, because when I came back out onto the sales floor, they all scattered and wouldn't help me. I was beyond disgusted and still refuse to go into that particular store. (There are other stores, however, where the staff is awesome!!)

Since the quality of the Victoria's Secret panties has gone down the tubes, I've been getting my undies at Aerie; it's a store by American Eagle, so it's aimed at a young adult demographic, but the quality is much better than those Victoria's Secret panties that fall apart after one wash.

OP here. I contacted VS on-line (customer service) and they sent me a $25 gift card and told me to keep the panties (which I can't wear!) I went in with my gift card, thinking maybe I'd buy some pajamas or something. Huh! They don't really sell them anymore! When I was just out of college and then newly married, I got a few cute knit shorts/tops sets for sleeping. I guess they don't make things for my age group....it's all teeny-bopper stuff!

So...not sure exactly what I'm going to do with the g.c. now....any suggestions?

Bath stuff, flip flops, beach-y bags, some of the stores sell makeup...you might be able to use it to order things out of their catalouge too! :thumbsup2

Buy yourself some perfume!! They do have some nice scents. I have been using Sexy Little Things Noir. I have both the perfume and body spray. It has a wonderful scent, at least to me:thumbsup2!!!

Wow, I've actually never noticed the decline in quality you ladies have mentioned. I pretty much exclusively wear VS undies (excpt for right after I had my kiddo, I just bought cheapo ones I could throw away), and never had problems with rips and tears. I wear the VS Pink stuff, mainly the hipster and bikini, and never ever had a problem. Odd. Same with the bras, I've had the same ones for awhile now and don't have any issues with them. My only gripe is that I'm inbetween an XS and a S, so it's hard to find ones that fit exactly right.

My gripe is not with the quality, but that they changed the cut. They also changed the fabric, and they just don't fit well. They ride up, in places that they shouldn't be. :rolleyes1

I still have a few pair of my "older models" and I'm going to be so sad when I have to throw them out!

I am a former VS employee. Ok I worked there in college almost 12 years ago. The cuts and fabric have all changed. Blame the teenage girls! The cut has been changed toward their age group. The high-leg brief ( known internally as the old lady panty) isn't that high anymore and they really only look good on you if you have skinny long legs and not much hip action. The bra bands are a LOT slimmer now and full coverage doesn't cover everything.
