Here's a thought from a different perspective. I am married to a minister and from time to time, people think I have made a bad choice about this or that. They may not like my parenting, policies in my preschool program, etc. From time to time, I have to be sweet and take the heat, though I feel it is undeserved. From time to time, the other party trashes me and does not repeat the truth about the situation or me and I get smeared in the process. It rarely happens, but it hurts when it does because I'd like to think that people would say to themselves that surely with all they know about me, I didn't behave as the other person has said. My only defense is that I hope my character will defend me because I am in no position to defend myself without becoming a gossip or attacking the other person's character. While many ministers in the public eye have done bad things, others are just accused of petty things and the person taking the high road is at the mercy of others. Perhaps, perhaps, someone was looking to be in a headline and Victoria is taking the high road by not coming out and claiming the other person is a liar. Maybe she's better than that. Just a though anyway, form a different perspective.
By the way, if she's your pastor's wife, don't hang her for this. I'm sure there is more to this story. If it is all true and she was a beast, hopefully she has enough change in her pocket (Maxwell) to allow her to have a very off day. I'm sure she doesn't claim to be perfect and while every Christian should try to the fullest to bring glory to Christ, even in the hard times, we are human and sinners, thus the need for Christ in the first place.
Peace--
