I thought that I had read somewhere (did a search and it didn't help) that you could eat at the Chef's table in the kitchen. Could someone fill me in on this with your experience and all the particulars. Thanks!

Also, have read about Emeril's...anyone know anything about this one and where it is etc.

Yes you can! It's extrememly popular and you have to call at 7am 180 days out EXACTLY.

Mr. Disney has a wonderful review floating out there somewhere - complete with pictures. Just do an advanced search - maybe someone will post the link!

I agree. Use an advanced search in the restaurants board. Search for chefs table with the poster as misterdisney. It is the BEST review!

I have eaten at Both V&A and Emeril's, and although I am all about Disney, I have to say that the food at Emeril's was better.

This is not to say that V&A was bad. It's just that Emeril's was one of the best, if not the best, dinners I have ever had. The food is amazing.

Must order at Emeril's:
Gumbo - it was a thing of beauty
Chocolate tart- wow

Go to both if you can spend the $$$, they are both ridiculously expensive. I think with drinks & tip we (me & DW) spent close to $200.00 for 1 meal!!!

But it was worth it!

Emeril's is located over at Universal's Citywalk. Check out the Universal boards on this site for more info. :thumbsup2

I have done the advanced search and still can't find it....

I've eaten at Emerils and Emerils Tchop Tchop and both places are phenominal! They are both located at Universal, one at City Walk and the other at a Universal Hotel. I've never eaten at V&A but I understand it's phemonimal too! Either way you are going to have a great meal!

I am dining at V&A's for the first time in a week. I have been to Emeril's and Tchoup Chop numerous times and the have always been fantastic. If you want a similar "chef's table" meal, might I suggest Emeril's Kitchen Table. You can call for reservations but like the Chef's table, it is subject to availbility. The food and experience were amazing. My DGF still calls this her favorite meal of all time. The price w/wine pairings was $120/each. I am sure that is also subject to change. However, the meal was worth every penny. It was 8+ courses.

I've eaten at V&A's and Emerils but in the regular restaurant, not at the chef's tables. Both were good, but V&A's was excellent. DH also preferred V&A's.

I haven't eaten at V&A but I have eaten at both Emeril's and we thought Tchoup Chop was much better and definitely more of a unique experience. I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of the three!

I know nothing about Universal, do you have to pay any kind of park admission to get to the area where Emeril's is?

You have to pay to park if you are driving but you don't have to pay to walk around City Walk. There is a drop off for cabs somewhere I'm sure.

Never did V&A's but Emeril's.... OMG! :cloud9: Amazing!

DS8 loves the gumbo, DS12 loves the steaks & toffee crunch cheesecake, DH is a major steak eater - raves about the filet & creme brulee. I like to try something different every time we go & honestly can't pick a favorite they are all soooo good!
