So I have a reservation for here. Never been, and am still contemplating on if the min $700 for the 7 course with wine pairing is worth it for 2 people lol Considering I have zero idea what any of those things on the menu are, and I am just winging it in hopes that the food will be delicious. ( Birthday Dinner )

Anyway, its not really about that that I am curious about.

I have Disney after hours that same night. If I have dinner at 5:30, I would like to be in Magic Kingdom by 9pm. I am sure I can make that work

My problem is the following: The clothes we are wearing. Neither one of us want to wear the formal clothes to the parks. Is there anyway to change after dinner, and like would the front desk take our formal clothes or something and hold on to it? or do I need to stuff them into a backpack?

Thanks

Maybe change in the restroom lounge area, or stall if you wish.
You could ask the front desk to store your clothes until you pick them up at a later time, or a locker at MK if you don't want to go back to pick them up.

My son & his wife are going for a second time this summer while DH & I watch the grandkids!
I'm sure he wouldn't go back if he didn't think it was worth it. They are excited to go back!

If you have the wine pairings you will not be doing anything after dinner. You are talking 7 different wines. I have friends who did the chefs table w the pairings and didn’t remember some of the courses until they saw photos later. And they have a very high tolerance

This dining experience is really not conducive to heading to the park afterwards

You can try to do it all, but rushing through a $700 dinner to get to the parks is just not worth it, imho

If you just, change into your park attire and cram your nice things in a bag. I would take the bag w you so you don’t need to return the gf after you are done w the parks
Also, maybe just a glass or two of wine vs the pairings

I totally agree with @Pumbaa_ You are trying to do way too much in one night. My advice is to choose one, cancel the other and enjoy!

You are correct. I will most likely cancel this experience as I can’t cancel the Disney After hours

Thanks for the help and advice

Good idea on the cancel. Next time check to see if you would actually like the items on the menu.

Hate to say it, as both sound fabulous, but have to agree you’ll likely not be in the mood for a late night in the parks after 7 courses and wine. But definitely plan to do it sometime, when you can really savor it, as the experience is amazing! If set on the after hours experience maybe try a self-directed monorail “crawl” beforehand sampling at lounges in each resort or take a look at menus and pick a dinner at one of the MK resorts. Have fun!!

thats too bad that you can't cancel the after hours. having done Victoria and Alberts several times, it is a truely not to be missed dining experience.
As others have mentioned, you don't want to try and rush any of it. Every time, we were there 3 hours plus. Trying to do park stuff after the 7 or 10 course menu is not a good idea.
Hope you get a chance to try it in the future. It is that good.

We went for our anniversary and totally love it. We did get the wine pairing and shared it (i.e. - I drank half the glass and my wife drank the other half). You may read a lot of people tell you that is cheating the system but I can tell you from talking to all the chefs we met that night that that is NOT cheating the system and they wished more people would share the pairing so as to enjoy the food.

I agree with @gharter that after you eat 7 or 10 courses, the last thing you want to do is Disney After Hours. These aren't 7 or 10 full courses but there is enough food that afterwards you just want to walk around and not ride any rides. We did the Chefs Table and halfway through, we got up from the table and took a 30 minute break to allow some of the food to settle. You don't get that option is you are eating in the dining room. I agree with you that cancelling your V&A ressies is probably best since you can't cancel the Disney After Hours but I would certainly try V&A on your next trip.

To try and do anything after V&A will only ruin your evening, not matter how hard you try for it not to, whether you have the wine pairings or not.

The ideal plan for V&A is to have a light afternoon, go to V&A and then listen to the music in the GF lobby or take a stroll on the grounds before returning to your room (preferably at the Grand Floridian).

Have reservations for the Queen Victoria room in December - can't wait! 30 years between visits is too long.

Change in one of the public bathrooms of GF. Ask in advance if there is a place to store your excess attire for V+A beforehand. No idea what resort you are staying at but if you'll be at one of the monorail hotels this shouldn't be too hard to coordinate. My idea of dressing for V+A before going to a park whether staying at a monorail hotel or not is simple: wear classic attire (a tee shirt dress for me), shoes that are comfortable, and accessorise with jewelry. The man can wear dress shorts (linen or linen/cotton/khaki), a polo short, and a jacket stuffed with tissue paper (wont wrinkle this way), either left with staff or changed in the bathroom. Buy some body wipes to use beforehand, spritz on a lil vial of perfume and you are done. I "force" the man to wear moccasins for the day before we arrive at a dress code locale so he doesn't have to wear them at the park; he's weird that way. Not hard for either of you to dress down to the later night party and still be "comfortable".
