Vicotoria and Alberts vs Citricos?

Which would you suggest for the night after our wedding? I would love to do V&A but it is sooo expensive, and DF is not a foodie and does not like to dine for long periods of time. Should we splurge for V&A or do you think Citricos is a better choice for us?

Both restaurants are lovely and serve delicious food, but Citricos would be an upscale, yet relaxing dining experience. I love V&A, (in fact, will be eating there February 15) but it is a VERY long meal and sooooooo much food.... and much more expensive too. How about planning Victoria & Albert's for your first anniversary?:thumbsup2

There is no comparison between the two, either in food quality or service. V&A is also the only restaurant at WDW where you are guaranteed to have a quiet intimate dinner. Compared to any of the other 5 star restaurants I have dined in, V&A is an unbelievable value for what they charge.

However, Citricos is very good and may be the right choice for you. People will be in there in park clothes, families dining, it's definitely more casual. We have always been happy with our food here.

Great post:thumbsup2

Hands down, V&A's is an amazing meal with excellent service and very intimate dining (no children under 10 allowed:) ) but Citricos is very good too.

If he's not a foodie what better time to get him to agree than on your honeymoon? I'm sure you can come up with a way to entice him... lol

lol... i know, and that's why I want to go because I know if we don't then, we never will. I'm just having a hard time getting over the prices. We are already spending a fortune on a DFTW, and I don't know if it's worth spending $400 for dinner one night when we could go to Citricos or somewhere else nice and have a great meal for $100, and use the $300 for something for the wedding. I'm torn!

I've never been to V&A, but you can't compare it to anything else at Disney. V&A is it's own special class of dining.

I personally would want V&A for my wedding, but I am a foodie and I love long, drawn-out, leisurely meals with 5 star quality and service.

However, I do not think you would be disappointed if you went with Citricos. It's my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Disney. I went there 3 times in 2009 and each time, the food, the chefs, and the service were amazing. Even when I wasn't celebrating anything in particular, they made it feel like a very special meal. The food was outstanding in taste and quality, and for the personalized service and how delicious everything was, I thought Citricos was a good value.

I would try to talk the DF in to V&A. What better occasion for such a special meal than your wedding? On the other hand, it is his special day too, and you want to do something he will enjoy as well. I would show him some menus for V&A and if he just can't be talked in to it, then be comfortable knowing Citricos will still be fantastic! I'm sure they will make sure your wedding dinner is perfect.

If you want to see a review of Citricos, I did one in one of DR's, and will be doing another soon. If you just do a search on the DR board, you'll probably find lots.

Given what you said about $$$$, the food itself, and the time spent eating (V&A takes us about 2 to 2 and a half hours every time we eat there) it sounds as tho Citricos would be the better bet.
