The New Pizza based restaurant has been open for a little while now. Tell me how it was. Share pictures. How was the service? We will be celebrating a Birthday there, do they do anything special for kids birthdays?

Alot of people seem to love it. We are not one of them. Very disappointing IMO.

Service was bordering on poor. Pizza was poor & we tried 4 different varieties so I think it safe to say it wasn't just that one wasn't to our liking, they were all not to our liking. The arancini was not good. Pricing was crazy for what you got (and we have a TiW).

I'm sure you will find others that have really positive things to say.

We went there three times and enjoyed every one of them. The pizza was wonderful and we really enjoyed the arancini appetizer.

Hi

We ate here a couple of weeks ago on the free DDP. We are from the uk and pizza is one of my favourite foods as is cheese. Our server was terrible and made me feel like I was some lower form of life for being of the "basic" dining plan. We were actually on the regular DDP. He was generally unhelpful and I think clouded our experience. I ordered the "four cheese pizza" wont attempt to spell the Italian" Neither on the menu nor did the server explain this had no tomato base, it was simply cheese on a pizza base and I'm fairly sure there were not 4 different cheeses. It was horrible and greasy and tasted like cheese on toast. The worse meal we had by a mile.
The decor was quite nice and I think had we had a different server would have been a different experince.

Neither on the menu nor did the server explain this had no tomato base,

:confused3 The menu says exactly what is on the pizza.

From the Allearsnet menu:

Quattro Formaggi - mozzarella, parmesan, fontina, provolone

Pizzas with tomato say so on the menu.

Margherita - tomato, mozzarella, basil

Pepperoni - spicy pepperoni, tomato, mozzarella

Ortolano - tomato, mozzarella, vegetables

I would say it's ok. We probably won't go back since there are so many other choices we like. My husband and I both ordered pizzas along with the fired vegetable appetizer. The red sauce was disappointing. The atmosphere is loud even on the Disney scale. Our server was pretty good. He was friendly but not particularly quick on the drink refills.

I thought the pizza was more like the pizza we had in Italy than what we are used to here. I enjoyed the pizza. I had the 4 cheese (no tomato) and thought it was great.

We checked out the prices last week and kept on walking..unless you are on FD, it looked way overpriced for us! I seem to remember a price on a large pizza of $32.

Best meal we have had on property. Loved it so much I even tracked down a manager and told her.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza. Very thin crust, great pepperoni. Just so yummy :goodvibes We all loved it. Even the kids were saying how good it was. It was a thin crust pizza which we prefer. Not greasy at all.

My mother had a pollo salad and we all tried some. It was not something I would have ever ordered based on the description but boy was that good as well. The perfect combination of tastes.

Our only complaint of the restaurant is that it is LOUD. I do not think I heard a complete sentence out of the waitress because of the noise. We were there at a very crowded time but the way the room is designed that it would be much quieter at a less crowded time of day.

Oh and the 1/2 meter was too much for 3 adults and 2 children.

Thank you for this, my husband is a bit of a pizza snob and says the best pizza he ever had was in Venice Italy. When I looked at Via Napoli it seemed to remind him of the pizza he had while there.

So I can't wait to take him and see what he thinks.

thanks for the clairfication above about cheese pizza being just dough and cheese...i would of ordered this in ffeb and not known! just like that i've changed my order to pepperoni! lol

how does the ddp work there? i know there was great debate over how it would work if you got a family size pizza etc.

Poor how?

The dough tasted as if it had been overworked and they forgot to add the salt. Toppings (with the exception of the mozz) had no real flavor & were too much for the pie. The mozz had a great creaminess to it with just the right amount of salt for my taste. There was no crispiness to the crust.

The tomato sauce on the Margherita tasted as if they opened a can of puree & spooned it on the pie. It had a raw taste to it, if that makes any sense. I understand true Italian pizza is very rustic but I still think the sauce should be heated through in olive oil, garlic & basil unless you have just picked the plum tomatoes off the vine & are crushing them by hand.

The Carcioffi (artichoke) was ok for the first 2 or 3 bites but there was so much topping you might as well have given me a bowl of artichokes & a spoon (not that that is a bad thing but I wanted pizza with artichokes not artichokes with pizza). And the artichoke was bland.

The 4 cheese was ok but just ok.

On the 4 Seasons, the eggplant was fine, the artichoke had the same issues as above and the meats tasted processed.

We really wanted to like this place & we were all afraid to admit we didn't for a while.

Everyone's tastes & experiences are different which is why I always suggest you try a place for yourself but... :confused3

We tried this place for the first time last month. Had the pepperoni pizza and loved it! Also had the calamari which was really good as well.

We ate outside (weather was perfect), so it wasn't loud at all. Loved the outside atmosphere. We will definitely go back. Best pizza on property in our opinion. I definitely think you should give it a try:thumbsup2

The pizza served is Neapolitan style - thin, very crisp crust, some varieties made without tomato sauce. This is not the type of pizza that some guests are used to or expecting.

I have been there once, thought it was really good personally. Tried 4 types of pizza. I can't refer to any of them as "poor."

Dining plan info:

1 credit = individual pizza plus drink and dessert

2 credits = large pizza plus 2 drinks and 2 desserts

4 credits = half meter pizza plus 4 drinks and 4 desserts

Add appetizers if you're on the deluxe plan.

Kids' credits don't count - must be adult credits. Kids 3-9 must order from the kids' menu.

We thought it was pretty good. Thin crust, well done but thats the way we like it. This is a loud restaurant with easy going servers. It is not a 4 star experience but its pizza. We also chose to add the family style salad for all which was an extra $4 per person. It is definately a bit expensive for pizza but less expensive than many of the other Epcot dining choices. I can't remember what it is call but it was a zeppoli type of fried dough with ricotta cheese for desert that came with chocolate sauce to pour over as you wanted. It was outstanding, not greasy at all. I say giveit a try and decide for yourself.

Zeppole Di Catarina ....and I can't wait to try this...yummmm

We ate there the last week of September. Absolutely :lovestruc'd it!

The picky five year old had a fruit cocktail and spaghetti, and devoured her meal. I had the quattro formaggi pizza and thought it was divine.

It was not crowded the day we went (plus we were there at opening - 11:30? I think?) so it was not loud. Our service was glacially slow but I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The dough tasted as if it had been overworked and they forgot to add the salt.

Our crust was just a little on the bland side, too. Overworked as in tough? A good crust should have a little chew to it.

There was no crispiness to the crust.

Naples pizza isn't as crisp as you'd think. Or possibly, they pulled it from the oven too soon. The result of trying to get the food to the table too quickly.

The tomato sauce on the Margherita tasted as if they opened a can of puree & spooned it on the pie. It had a raw taste to it, if that makes any sense. Pizza sauce is never pre-cooked. Canned tomatoes are fine (VN reportedly uses San Marzano DOP). A little salt, pepper and maybe some sugar, and that's it.
