We're going to WDW August 25th - 31st and we are interested in trying the new Via Napoli pizza restaurant in Epcot. I was just curious what the wait times have been lately since there hasn't really been a whole lot of press about it and since you can't schedule an ADR yet.

I ate there yesterday. Party of 1. They said the wait was 10-15 minutes. This was at 4:30. I think I waited just under 10 minutes to be seated.

Can you show up in the morning and make a dinner reservation for later that night?

No, it wasn't full at 4:30. I suspect that the people that were already in there were the leftover lunch crowd, and the wait was to seat the people ahead of me in line when the place "officially" opened for dinner. The times guide said that lunch is served until 3:30 and that dinner starts at 4:30. That being said, there seemed to be a BRIEF wait the entire time I was in there (my table overlooked the entry area), and I don't think it was completely full at anytime that I was in there.

And they're only taking walk-ups until September. You can't even make same-day reservations.

When we were there the day before the opening we popped over and asked about getting in they daid that they couldn't take our names but to come back in 30 minutes and try. They were seating lots of people they just wouldn't take our names with that much of a wait.

For those of you who have gone do you know if you are able to "create your own" pizza's as well as the ones listed on the menu? Also, is there side salads available or just the entree sized ones?

at 6:30 the wait was 25 minutes, at 7:00 45 when we were there. Unless you were willing to sit outside in the 100-degree heat, then you could be seated immediately.

The pizza and dessert were great. However there was a very unfriendly manager at the host check-in, they had a very hard time ringing up our bill, our server was no where to be found, and the entrees that weren't pizza weren't worth mentioning... but hopefully this will get worked out in the soft opening stage.

I ate there this past monday, the 16th. We were a party of three and it was around 6:00. We were seated immediately. We enjoyed our meal very much. We ordered and shared a pepperoni pizza, a four cheese pizza, and a steak salad. Everything was very good. I loved the crust on the pizza.

My dad and I were there on Thursday, August 19th. We arrived at about 3:00 and waited less than 10 minutes to be seated.

I didn't see many empty tables during the time we were there, they turned over pretty quickly. However, there were plenty of seats at the communal table.

I had the individual vegetable pizza and the blood orange fresca, my dad the individual four cheese pizza and the lemon fresca. For dessert we shared the Gelato Frizzante (think I spelled that right). All very very good!

We were just there this past Mon. for lunch. I don't remember the exact time but it was probably around 1:00ish. We waited about 2-3 min. for a table. The inside of the restaurant is really pretty. A couple empty tables, but not many. 3 of us shared a large pepperoni pizza & had leftovers. It was delicious. The mozzarella is made in house & is so fresh & delicious. We've been to Italy & I can say this pizza is very authentic. The only negative comment I have is my DS could not get gluten free pizza. He was really disappointed that we were all eating pizza & he couldn't. The only thing they could offer him was gluten free pasta. He tried to get gelato for dessert & they wouldn't give him that either. They said they couldn't guarantee it was GF. It was disappointing. Hopefully they'll get their act together a bit over the next few weeks in terms of allergies & special diets. Just be aware if you have a special dietary request when you go there they may not be able to accommodate it.

I totally agree. We were there a couple weeks ago. My wife has an allergy to gluten. They would not offer anything to her that was gluten free because they said the flour from the pizza and pasta is everywhere. She had to grab a salad back at the resort. Not very fair. I do hope they are more accommodating in the future to people with food allergies.

we were just here last week, we arrived a little before Noon and were seated right away! :thumbsup2
We love this place and will definitely be back.
We had the Pizza with mozzarella and basil and for dessert shared the "ugly but good cookie" thingy.....very good!

We ate there August 21st. We arrived at 5 and they were really busy but they gave us a reservation and told us to return at 6:30. (we were a party of 6) The pizza was definately worth the wait. After we were done eating ~ 7:00 the place was pretty empty!!
