Via Napoli vs Chefs de France

should we eat at via Napoli or chefs de France. We are on the dining plan. I keep reading great reviews about via Napoli being one of the best places to eat but I figured we would be eating quick service pizza too during our trip. Thoughts?

I think it all depends on what you like to eat. Via Napoli has great pasta and delicious pizza. Chefs de France has more salad and soups for appetizers (although their flatbreads are delicious as well) and more meat entrees.

Look at the menu.

I love Chefs de France for a lunch. My son will eat the quiche and food and cheese plate and my wife and I can always find something...but we like and cook French cuisine. Reviews of dining experiences are mixed here at DIS, plus I think many more people just don't like the menu.

I have never seen a bad review of Via Napoli, it seems a favorite and a safe bet (but I have never eaten there). But I don't know your tastes and if you look at the menu, you should be able to decide.

If you were to skip anything...skip the horrible QS pizza, doesn't matter where you get it, it's all bad, cut-rate pizza.

I like them both but, given the choice, would pick Via Napoli. Just really love their pizza.

That being said, I really like the atmosphere at Chefs and am of the opinion that their prix fix lunch is one of the better OOP dining deals at WDW. It's a surprisingly filling meal at a reasonable price (by WDW standards).

We love both of these restaurants. Via Napoli is extremely loud while Chefs de France is a bit more quiet. The service is always better at Chefs de Fence because it's not as crowded. The pizza is really good and they give you plenty so sharing is easy. We can also share the Price Fix meals at Chefs, we find the portions are not French sizes.

Now to pick between the 2....so hard. We do both for each visit. But if I had to pick 1, I'd pick the pizza.

My vote is for Chef de France. We find the food to be very good every time we've eaten there. We don't like Via Napoli. I thought we would because my family loves pizza and pasta. But the food at Via Napoli just wasn't good, it was bland, not even salt, & the pizza was watery.

That is a touch decision. But I'd go with Chefs de France. It's a really neat atmosphere and is on our list any time we can make it down to WDW. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. PLUS since you're on the dining plan you have so many more choices in my opinion at Chefs. The pizza and pasta really is wonderful at Napoli; however I find Italian so filling I'd be worried it wouldn't be the wisest use of the dining plan (since I'd be so full...).

I would choose Via Napoli. We've had a couple of reservations there on each trip and it's excellent. The food at Chef's hasn't been very good all three times we've been there.

Via Napoli is very good pizza while most of the quick serves are similar to Diogornos or any frozen type from the supermarket. If you really love pizza go to Via Napoli it won't disappoint.

QS pizza is nothing compared to the pies at Via Napoli. We love both restaurants, though it sounds like you have your mind set on some pizza. I say hit Via Napoli up this trip.

Chefs de France is one of my favourite restaurants on property ... Then again, so is Via Napoli. This is not an easy decision if you HAVE to pick on or the other.

Sorry all I could so was interject my opinion on the two. Either way, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

You should eat where you want but for me I choose Via 9 out of 10 times.

We ate lunch at both places last month. At chefs of France I ordered the price fixe option with French onion soup and Mac and cheese. My Mom just ordered the soup and we split the Mac and cheese. Kids ordered off kids menu. At Via Napoli we had the 4 cheese mezzo pizza. That thing is huge!!! We took half of it back to our resort and reheated it the next night for dinner. We liked the food at both places and thought both were an excellent value. I will go back to both. Earlier in the trip we had the pizza from the walk up place on the Boardwalk. It was just awful.

I vote Via Napoli. QS pizza is gross compared to Via Napoli if you a pizza snob like myself, I refuse to eat at pizza chains.
