RIV / VGF split stay is such a great option. Already bought RIV direct long before they announced VGF2 and bought enough there but tempted by adding VGF2 if the price is right but... then would I have enough time to save money for Disneyland Tower? Decisions!
There are not. VGF2 is joining the existing VGF association and therefore will be operating under the same rules as current VGF. They cannot change the association rule to impose resale restrictions. Will there be any type of re-sale restrictions at VGF2?

It actually is that simple in this case.Trust me, it's not that simple. Until Disney announces more concrete information, we really don't know. You can have the same association with different rules-- As in OKW 2042 vs 2057 contracts.
And just like they have "grandfathered" new re-sale rules in the past.
Nothing stops them from putting in new rules, in the same association, that applies to new contracts moving forward. It's not an association rule -- It's a contract rule.

OKW is a bad example, because legally the association as a whole is 2057 and anyone with a 2042 who hasn't filed a quit claim has legal right to 2057. It is a big legal mess Disney is hoping time and death fix for them. The contracts tie to the land lease, and the land lease is 2057.
And it is an association rule, actually. Because it is based on the association's membership in BVT.
It’s far too early to make that call since we do not know what pricing is for VGF. If everything is equal I would do VGF.
So now I am stuck as to whether get SSR direct now before the increase (200 points) or wait for VGF2.
I already have 600 VGF points and 1200 SSR points. None of which are direct
And that changes it a bit from VGF vs RIV. You're looking for direct points to become a qualified member? If the SSR points work well for you in your use then they'll be the least expensive way to get the blue card.
No, Im already blue card. But wanted to get some direct future proof points for new resorts.........
I have around 2,500 points in total.
