VGF price increase to 230 on 9/12!

I figured they’d raise the price eventually but I thought it would be closer to the Poly Tower sales going live. Apparently they’re selling well. Glad I bought my points already.

I just went ahead and signed our contract under the current offers. I am not regretting that at all.

I’m technically a DVC owner as of today no? Would I need my account set up to get it?

I’ve read that as long as people have passed ROFR they can get Current Member incentives. If you have closed…. You should be good to go, but the guide will probably have to do some extra leg work. Resale first, current member incentives to get DVC-Y next… smart play!

• Summer 2019: DVC offers the same incentives on CCV as on Riviera
• Fall 2019: DVC offers the same incentives on CCV as Riviera
• Winter 2019: DVC offers the same incentives on CCV as Riviera
• January 2020: CCV increases to $220

I know...this is a conundrum! Very first world problems but Poly is the vibe we love. And GF is beautiful and I love visiting and the rooms are elegant and the walk to MK is so convenient...but...but...POLY! lol

I honestly think at this price GFV as a direct purchase makes sense. Poly 2 will almost surely be restricted points and more expensive. But I'm having a hard time convincing myself to spend that amount if it's not what I definitely want. Poly 2 may come out at a ridiculously high price and I'll kick myself for not taking advantage of GFV now but it's a chance I think I'm going to take. Worst comes to worst I'll add more cheap resale and play the 7 month bingo.

Same, we've been going back and forth with VGF, but we cant get 2022 MB to match our UY, and im not selling back my 2023 pts. The "not members yet" could probably be solved by not signing the contracts for a few weeks while we wait for the system setup. Its the Magical Beginnings totally stopping us (and the Poly ofcourse....mostly because we are not 100% sold on VGF!)

200 more points for us. Incentives were just too good to pass up. I’m still eyeing Riviera and maybe a Cali property, but otherwise I think we have enough points (1,225 I believe). We would eventually like to sell out of our OKW points - especially if we add one of the other properties - but otherwise we will likely be holding to the end.

I’m praying you’re right about that! If they’re better, I’ll likely wait until the end of the incentives date and then lock in between the fall-winter incentives.

I just got the email from DVC…based on that, I would not expect RIV or AUL to have their base price increased right now.

It won’t be safe if they get aggressive with RIV…that’s what I am afraid of…hahaha!

Planning to get 200 points at RIV and discussed with my guide to time it for this Sat with intent to rewrite contract if new incentives are better than the current. He said if it remains $217pp, then they would have to be better than $1250/200=$6.25pp compared to the current incentives.

Well, they got us with their fearmongering! Added 150 at VGF. Couldn't pass up all the incentives (including the member cruise discount) + MB. This puts us over 1000 points, but that won't last long as we'll be selling off one of our resales to pay for it.

I suspect many will end up kicking themselves for not doing as you did. There may well never again be this good of an opportunity to buy direct points that are not resale restricted to a single resort.

Hard to pass up $156/pt for unrestricted points! We're also fine with renting our 2023 points through the MB offer since we picked up a resale contract earlier with banked points.
