Morning or afternoon sun? We are balcony people so this really helps!!Rooms ending in 04 and 10 face the Poly. Rooms ending in 14 face the MK with somewhat of a fireworks view. We prefer the 04 and 10 rooms as they directly face the water and have more of a sun exposure.
I plan on booking a lake view studio at the original DVC building at VGF soon. Can anyone recommend a request I should ask for? As always, I am going ask for high floor. Since it is already a lake view, what else view wise should I request? TIA!!!
)Yeah thank you! Okay so I will include view of electrical water page to!! Thank you so much!If you're like me, you'll love it! I was in #1310-I had requested upper floor, view of the EWP and that's exactly what it was. However, if you want a view of the MK fireworks, that's not it. I could HEAR the MK fireworks, but since EWP was more important to me, I was happy. And the room was close to the elevators, which was nice. Also, I found it just as easy to get food from Captain Cooks, which I thought was better than Gaspirrilla Grill.
As far as morning or afternoon sun, I don't think the room faced directly either east or west, because usually if it does, the sun reflects directly off the water and the balcony gets hot sometimes (hotter as I was there in July. But I could sit there and watch the ferry boat going back and forth for hours (Yeah, I know-big excitement)

Morning sun and a lot of it. We had a 2 bedroom on the 6th floor. I usually eat breakfast on the balcony and the sun was overpowering. I would put my chair behind a post so I could block the sun as much as I could and I would wear sunglasses.Morning or afternoon sun? We are balcony people so this really helps!!
As long is there is little afternoon sun I’m good! We are balcony people so I am super excited! Ok need to ask for high floor, rooms ending in 04, 10, or 14 with view of the Polynesian and Electrical Water Pageant.Morning sun and a lot of it. We had a 2 bedroom on the 6th floor. Ok! Then I’ll keep it to the room numbers and facing the Polynesian!!Rooms ending with 14 will not get you afternoon sun. And again, 04, 10, 14 will all get you a view of the EWP. No need to ask for it.
We had one late September into October. The sun was overpowering. I don’t think it changes much during the year.We had the morning sun in December and it was directly in front of the balcony. It was so bright, we could not enjoy the balcony.
