For quite some time I've been looking for a 35-point resale add-on to my VGC points (complicated reasons why that's the amount I wanted). Given the size of the contract and the fact that I wanted the same October use year (which I've been told has the smallest percentage of VGC points), I was not particularly optimistic that I would ever find it.
Anyway, on a Disney cruise earlier this year, the host at the DVC reception stated that he could get points at any sold-out resort. So having been told multiple times that DVC would not accept any VGC waitlist requests, I made an appointment with him to see what he could do. After some delays and calls back to the main office, he told me that he was able to have me waitlisted for the points I wanted. Since then, I've continued to look for the perfect resale, and pretty much forgotten about the waitlist.
Out of the blue this evening, the same rep from the cruise called me and told me my waitlist request came through today! Long story short - I completed the purchase, and he told me I should see the points in my account tomorrow. I guess it just goes to show you that you should never say never.
:yay:

That’s great! I just closed on a 100 pt August resale there and would love to do my direct 25 point add on there-maybe there’s hope :)

The small point packages at Grand California can be difficult to come by. If /when they hit the resale market they tend to sell within 24 hours or less. It's great to hear Disney was able to help you find what you were looking for.....Congratulations :yay:
