Do any of you who are purchasing VGC today know what the member dues are per point?

Thanks.

interested in knowing who bought today?

how many points did you buy?

&

are the point charts available?

Buying in a couple weeks myself. I don't see it selling out in 3 weeks time! Deciding just how many points I want now. 120-220. Maybe two at 110. JW

Maybe you should ask your sales rep about the increase to the points per night on the 2010 point charts before purchasing. As a DVC member, we were told that the DVC resort point charts could never go up. Well guess what, they are trying to raise them...

The restriction is that they cannot raise the total points required for the entire year. They may and have reallocated points if the demand for villas gets out of balance. The first in 1996 I believe. In that cycle the largest increase was to Fr/Sa Adventure season GV + 11 points per night and the largest decrease was Fr/Sa Premier season GV -8 points per night.

Now back on topic. Are the annual dues inclusive of property tax? California gives the developer the option of paying in bulk or having each owner deal with the taxing authorities on their own.

Actually, we were never told that, however we were told they could reallocate the points.

Back to Nikisha421's question, we did not buy today but we are buying 150 on Wednesday. We had other things going on today and our guide is off on Mondays and Tuesdays so we'll chat with him on Wednesday.

The points are being reallocated. Some nights are going up and some are going down.

The point chart that was briefly posted then taken down was for 2010, but I am going to wait to get an official copy before I purchase.
Regarding the WDW resort changes, they aren't raising the WDW DVD charts they are reallocating them, which they have a right and an obligation to do to keep the resorts at maximum occupancy and our MF's low. While I think they botched the roll out of this change and it was a bit of a surprise at how wide spread it was, it isn't something that makes me rethink my membership. I'm more upset about the raising of the add on min to 100, that is a much bigger impact and deterrent IMHO.

When we initially purchased my guide did tell us the point charts could change but that the total points per resort couldn't increase (unless they opened up more inventory and sold more points). We didn't really go into the details at that time because we weren't trying to lock into a specific vacation pattern with this purchase, we appreciated the flexibility to vary our vacations as our family grew up. With this knowlege, though, I've made sure that my VGC points will work for me in various ways, trips with weekends, weekdays or a combinations, as well as 3 day, 4 day and greater trips, as well as studios, 1BRs, 2 BRs...

It does sound like some guides may not have been trained as well as others and may have given out incorrect information that was contradictory to the contract, hopefully DVC will look into this and either improve the training or better communicate certain policies, etc that could impact members in the future.

Not right. They are only reallocating them. They made weekends cheaper, which is GREAT for me. Total points can never change for each resort.

I'm not a Founding Member so I can't buy until March but I will most likely be buying 320 points. More if they have a really good incentive at the time.
