VGC...Is it sold out?

I don't have a horse in this race, but I read somewhere that one of the two grand villas at the Grand Cal has not been declared into inventory and only the HA is available for members to book. First of all, it's hard enough when there is only one room available, but if you have to check "accessible rooms only" to even get the room to show up, it would be impossible to even see it if you didn't know that the ONE room is an accessible room. Second, how can the other grand villa not be declared if the resort is sold out? Is it because they have chosen to hold it back as part of the 2% of the inventory they are required to hold? Seems like that is an odd choice....they should have held back the non-HA one to make it a bit easier for members, if that's the case.

What was the source where you read this? I've never heard this before.

Nope, that’s VDH not VGC.

VGC (Villas at the Grand Californian) is sold out. Their Grand Villas are declared into inventory.

VDH (Villas at the Disneyland Hotel) is not sold out. And I believe not all of their grand villas have been declared yet.

I'm wondering if wherever you read this accidentally swapped the letters by mistake.

Could be....

I read it on a Facebook page (not DVC Fan) and I couldn't tell you which one it was. I wish I could find it so I could get the "correct" quotes. I do not own at any CA property and I have never even been to Disneyland so I really do not have any knowledge of the properties out there. I only have a general working knowledge of how DVC works which is why it caught my attention when the poster stated that only one of the GV's at the Grand Cal was declared. I did not know if there were also only 2 GV's at the VDH as well.
