Vet Question - is this the norm?

You should not have to have the dog tested if they are on it year round. There is (or was, not sure now) only one vet in our area that did this, I told my friend to call around and switch vets. The whole point of being on the meds all year round, even though you don't have the risk all year round, is that you don't have to be tested every year. I would call around to other vets, consider switching, or at least firmly discuss it with your current vet. I have a big problem with vets treating people this way:mad:.... out for the $$$$.

I had this same problem and found a simple solution that really works for me. I take all the little stickers and cut them in half - I then put the half sticker on the calendar - I do the whole year at a time. I put the remaining halves back into the box with the meds. Then I see the half sticker on the calendar every month and it serves me as a reminder. The day that the sticker is on I give the meds and then palce the other half of the sticker on the calendar. It worls well becasue I never have to wonder I always have a visual reminder and everyone in the family knows the sytem - if both halves are on the calendar the pill has been given! I just thought it might be worth mentioning it in case you would like to try:goodvibes

Great idea! I'm starting it this month. :thumbsup2
