Very worried

Hi there

I know this might sound mad, but I am guessing that if you go in three weeks it is all paid for.

If I were you, Id bite the bullet and still go either way, imagine how fed up you will all be if the job goes and no holiday.

Life is too short, if redundancy comes or not, go on the hols and start job hunting when you get back.

Have a great hols, now go! Do as your told go!, dont make me come down there

:rotfl:

Ok I promise I will still go!

Just think 3 weeks and you will be there, without a care in the world even if it is only for a couple of weeks.

Enjoy, and good luck

All together now "Funny funny funny old bear!"

Yeek! you're gonna have to go now Jen sounds like Steve is on holiday-dodger patrol :rotfl:

Well that settles we will just have to go! Better get the suitcases down from the loft ready! :)

Life is too short and precious.

Just pack your bags and go.
Worry about it when you get back.

Just read the thread about Scottish Maleficent about the lady that sadly passed away leaving 2 young kids. How sad.

It's only money, so get your bags packed and have a fab time.

Jen - just catching up with the news on the boards.

Sorry to hear about your worries with DH's job. The uncertainty of redundancy is a terrible thing, it's with you all the time, haunts you almost. I went through it 5 years ago when, as a PR Manager for Lloyds TSB, all my marketing colleagues went and only I remained "to sort all the media out". I knew it was going to eventually happen since I refused to move to either London or Edinburgh to do my job, but it dragged on and on.

Hopefully your DH will be ok. However, if it happens, don't be afraid. These things have a way of working out for the best - trust me :wizard: It just means something better is in the pipeline for you.

Go, enjoy your holiday, savour the experience. Like other's have said (and my DH's philosophy after some of the really bad things we've been through) is "life IS too short, enjoy if while you can" :grouphug:

Thanks thats a really nice message, its nice how everyone on here is so supportive to each other :grouphug:

 Hi Jen,

I just wanted to say i hope you go and have a great time :) Hopefuly your Dh's job will be safe :) :grouphug:

Hello Jen!
I just wanted to echo what everyone else has said - basically life's too short so go for it!

My DH was made redundant the week before our very first WDW holiday back in 1992. It was a huge bombshell of a shock as he'd only been promoted a couple of months before! I was very uncertain that we should go but DH insisted that it would be a waste of money to cancel - so off we went. With hindsight, I feel that the holiday was a blessing in disguise, as initially he was so upset/angry about being laid off that his confidence plummeted and it's possible he wouldn't have interviewed too well. He organised a couple of interviews for his return but concentrated on enjoying the holiday.

Needless to say, we had a fab time and still have wonderful memories of that first visit. Plus, in true WDW style, we were so busy that we didn't have time to obsess/worry about the future. Upon our return, DH was so tanned and relaxed, he was offered jobs with all the companies he interviewed with. I still put that down to our wonderful vacation.

So best wishes and fingers crossed for you and your family. :grouphug:
