Hi guys! I am doing a photobook for my dh's g'mother who turned 90 this year. We did a photoslide show to music for her b'day a few months ago. I made the show on DVD using alot of scanned pics from her past. I have those pics and uploaded them to snapfish to make her a photobook for Christmas.

However, alot of them are showing as "low resolution" when I am editing the book....anyone know if this will ruin the book or will it be ok to go ahead and use them...they are old pics anyways but I don't want them to be awful looking. Anyone know? Thanks!

Low resolution will make the pics look grainy. I would suggest using a layout of 4 or more on the page and you should ok. It will be the larger pics that you will have a problem with. You might get away with using a layout of 3. The low resolution notice will go away once it's no longer an issue. Hope this helps!

I tried changing some of the pics to 3 or 4 pics on a page to make the pics smaller and it doesn't help any. I guess it's b/c these pics are scans and are old...but they look great on the preview of the book. I don't know what to do...I suppose if it's too grainy then I will just have to chalk it up to a free gift! HA!

they wont turn out as clear. I had the same issue with some of mine that I saved from Kodak gallery. They were not as good of a resolution so I didnt use them.

I had the same issue on another book that I did and wanted the picture in anyway. It really wasn't that bad to be honest. I'm sure a professional would see that it was grainy but to me it was fine.

Its free so go ahead what do you have to lose.

One of the photos I picked for my free snapfish book did warn that it was "low resolution". I loved it, so I used it anyway. It didn't look too bad on the preview, but when I got the book, it definitely is more grainy than the others.

If it says "low resolution", it will be grainy. It didn't matter to me -- I had to have that photo included....just decide if it matters to you.

Not much advice, sorry. Just know that it WILL be grainier than the others.
