VERY proud DVC parents.....

Ok........
We bought DVC approx. 10 years ago.....
We have been going to Disney for 19 straight years now........

Ok.....My son who is 19 years old and attends Michigan State University has his spring break this year......... ( we also have two other boys, ages 16, and 10).

OK, Ok...I'll get to the point!!
He chose to go on spring break at the BEACH CLUB VILLA's.....WOW...that made us feel great as parents........That he loves Disney as much as we do, but for a lot of different reasons...

He's past Mickey Mouse, etc.....

He loves the Boardwalk, ESPN, the nightlife at pleasure island, etc. He loves the clean rooms, pools, etc. that Disney offers....

It just made us very proud of our son, and our purchase into the DVC FAMILY!!

I agree. Bringing up your kids on the wholesome fun of Disney also says a lot about you as a parent!

That's great to hear! We're in the process of becoming a DVC member @ VWL and we have a five year old little boy. It is wonderful to hear that your son has enjoyed it enough to come back for Spring Break. Makes me feel like we're making a smart investment. I'm looking forward to enjoying the many years of DVC fun to come!!

Exactly!! I told my 2 DS's don't bring her home if she dont love Disney!!

My son is 24 and a Disney nut. He collected Disney movies as a teenager and girls thought he was great. He did the Disney college program twice and wouldn't mind getting a full time job there.
And he can't wait to go this summer! He tells me the girl he'll marry will have to love going to Disney!

I totally understand why you're so happy about his decision. My kids are still young (8 and 3) - but I really hope they continue to enjoy Disney through the pre-teen and teen years and beyond. I want to be there some day with my grandchildren!!

I hope my 11 year old wants to do the same thing when the time comes. I'm so dreading the teen years, and the Spring Break years.

That's cool. We went to Disney last March and as soon as I got home I started planning another trip, well DD who was 16.5 said, we're going to Disney again! Well , after our trip in November/December, where we stayed at SSR as DVC members for the first time, she told me about 8 weeks later that she wants to go back to Disney! It's only been 3 months since we've gone and she can't wait to go back. She'll be 18 in June, and so I know she'll be taking many spring break vacations without us and I'm glad we can send her to Disney for Spring break, I feel better about her going there than Daytona Beach or one of the other Spring Break locales! Funny thing is we're trying to plan a trip for December 2007 and I'd like to try other resorts but she's in love with SSR!!

DD and eleven friends went to WDW for a high school graduation trip. They all had jobs and paid their own way. No trips were paid for by Mommy and Daddy.

They spent senior year of high school anxiously waiting for the college acceptance letters and planning for their trip. They got together at each others' houses during the year to watch a Disney film about once a month.

They had a wonderful time together and were well-behaved.
