I finally decided to check out VMK last night. I created a character and got a room. Today I try to log in and it won't let me. Is there a certain time you can play this game? Thanks!

Daisy,

Welcome To VMK . If you are a new player, I highly recommend you take a look at the players guide Mal has put together. She has done a wonderful job of assembling a list of important info for a new user. Here is teh link

edited to add: If you ever have any questions NEVER feel like they are to dumb to ask on here. The VMK boards have a lot of great people that are always eager to help.

Just stay away fromthe guy who pretends he is a gnome. He is insane and grumpy:rotfl2:

Thanks all! This game seems to complicated! I found myself walking around room to room not knowing what I was looking for. I just can't figure out what I am supposed to be doing in all these rooms! LOL! Also are there only those 4 games to play to get credits or am I missing a lot more hiding somewhere? I am off to read the link now. Thanks!

Daisy, a lot of the fun in VMk is meeting new people, playing host games (listed on the vmk homepage) and building rooms. Dont give up after your first week of just wandering around. Explore host rooms and guests rooms as well as player quests and game wide quests. Just kind of get a feel for what you like and go with it. A good way to start is by working on the magic quests found in tommorrowland

Daisy, please PM me if and when you get on this evening. I will be glad to take you to some important places in VMK and teach you a few things. If you read the player's guide first, though, it will make it easier for me to show you around!

I am CL_DaraSue in game.

Welcome to the DIS VMK forums and VMK!

I hope you learn to love it as much as we all do! I was very lost when I first joined and didn't really understand what to do..but thanks to the DIS boards for teaching me everything I needed to know, I got hooked and now I can never look back! :rotfl2: Thanks DIS/VMK, now can I get my life back?! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm assuming the four games you're talking about are Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Fireworks, and Jungle Cruise, right? Well, there's technically one more. It's called a "game", but it isn't really a competition like the others. It's the music mix game which can be found on Main Street or in any of the monorails. You can get to the Main Street monorail by clicking on the link on the first map screen you see when the game loads. You create a mix and then play it. You get 25 credits every half hour for creating a mix and another 25 credits every 15 minutes for playing one. Not the best source of credits, but it's something.

Two warnings: First, if you play your mix on the monorail and then try to play a mix on Main Street less than 15 minutes later (or vice versa), you won't get any credits for the second play. It's one location or the other.

Second, because of some graphics issues with those rooms, on many peoples' computers, VMK will sometimes crash upon entering those rooms, so be careful.

Oh, and I almost forgot a big :welcome: !

DaisyD, welcome to the Dis and VMK. Many people here will be happy to show you around. * I might but my stinky computer wont let me on VMK....*

Really, the entire point to VMK, is having fun. * Mostly for people who mainly can't visit the real parks. * Chat, hang out with friends, explore places, do quests, make rooms, ride the monorail, do host games, and last but not least - yelling at the computer when you DC during an important game! :rotfl2:

EDIT!: We cant forget playing the games, can we? Tea he!
