Very Merry Time Cruise - Gingerbread House

That is disappointing that they switched to the premade kits. We sail in a couple of weeks and I was really looking forward to our stateroom smelling like fresh gingerbread - ah well!

We loved ours on the Dream this weekend. It was tasty and smelled like gingerbread to us.

Tickets were available at port adventures and guest services. It was super fun and we'd definitely do it again.

We are sailing on 12/16 from PC, I am so excited and can't wait to get tickets for this!We just got back from WDW on Friday and our kids don't know about the cruise. We have scheduled a Mickey call for Thursday so that he can tell them!

I thought they always had the pre-made kits. At least that's what I saw on our Christmas cruise in 2011. Everyone had obviously premade gingerbread components in their houses.

It has always been a premade kit when I have done it. This goes back at least 7 years on all four ships. The cookies were unwrapped already so they didn't appear to come from a kit, but they did.

On the Nov 20 Magic I was offered 9am or 10am the first sea day. I was at guest services about 1:30. Others in our meet group reported times on the second sea day. When we arrived we had the gingerbread, bags of icing, and candy decorations waiting for us at each table. The pastry chef emphasized "quickly and efficiently" in our session, which felt a bit rushed, but we ended with plenty of time.

Just off the Fantasy. Gingerbread making was NOT listed in the Navigators...We were boarding number 3 and the CM in the atrium told us to go to Port Adventures. We were about 3rd in line there...three options on the last sea day - we selected the latest one, 11:30am

I can sadly confirm that the pieces were premade cardboard - I mean gingerbread and the frosting was prepackaged (much different than our experience on the Wonder in 2014). BUT we had a very fun time and loved bring some extra candies to share with the tables around us...

I know there were a few sessions- more than 2 on one day, and they were the prepackaged kits- but that didn't matter to my kids, they ate it in less than an hour

Did you have the full (3 page) Navigator? It's typically listed on the back page, under the "More to Enjoy While Onboard" section. But, after checking a couple of recent Fantasy MerryTime Navigators it's not there.

Also on the fantasy departing Saturday. I was looking forward to this, but not with premodern kits.
