I do daycare and have to have CPR every year. I have had that happen to 2 of my daycare kids. One did it from the time she was 1 til about 4 years old. I can not tell you how many ER visits we made with that child. One was walking down the driveway to get on a bike, and I just sat down in my chair at the end of the driveway and she went down. Was fine all day. My mom had a heart attack on my kitchen floor, and I could not do CPR on her. I just lost it like you did with your child. My neighbor did CPR on her, but she did not make it. That was over 20 years ago. Everyone needs to know CPR!

Thank you everyone for sharing your stories. I never thought the febrile seizure could be so acute. I am going to work tomorrow and am afraid to leave dd, although she will be with her grandmother who was able to perform CPR on her so I guess my fears are unwarranted lol

I still feel irrationally afraid! I think it's normal.
