Very Early Check In

Can I check in at OKW at, say, 8 am? Here's why I ask:
I had booked OKW for Dec. 1- Dec. 9 (Thurs.-Fri.). However, I received an offer via my Wyndham ownership for a 3 night stay at their new Grand Orlando building at Bonnet Creek. After deducting the cost of the gift card they will give (and years off of my life from the TS weasel's presentation LOL), it will cost $104. So I then rent out the 36 points I'll save . . . the math is pretty good.
But I would like to go to HS on the Sunday I have to check out, as that is the only day with Fantasmic. So my plan would be to check out of Bonnet Creek, head to OKW, pick up my paperwork, and then head to Hollywood Studios, with the ID in the window so I don't have to pay for parking.

Should work just fine. Even if the room is not ready you will get your parking pass and be ready for a call or text at DHS when the room is ready.

We often check in between 7:00 am and 8:00 am just so we can make a rope drop. There's no problem it doing it that early except there might be less CMs on duty.

I'm the same as DenLo, you will have no problems checking in at that time. It's when I usually check in as well. The room was even ready once!

We are always at the resorts early because of doing split stays. Never had any issues at all and the first year BLT opened, we even got our room at 8:00 am!!!

Non an issue. We sometimes combine off site stays with DVC stays and check-in early. Normally our room isn't ready, but we either leave stuff with Bell Services or in our trunk.

Then you walk away with room keys, welcome package and parking permit ready to go.

Enjoy! But get to F! early. In early December, we tried to make the show an hour before and were in the standing room only section way at the back. I couldn't hold by 4 year old that long so we left and came back another night. It's crazy popular/busy given its reduced showings. We were there the week after you're going (December 8-15 or so).

The first and only time I saw Fantasmic was back in December 2006, when it was shown twice daily. I arrived an hour early as I waa advised to, and sat in a basically empty stadium. It didn't fill up until about 15 minutes before show time. I know that doesn't happen anymore!

I think the earliest I checked in was between 5:30 and 6 IIRC. Once their through with the computer report, usually by 4:30 last I heard, they should be able to check in for the following day.
