It was just after 5:30. Our 2BR was the last on the rotation in the area we were placed in. It seemed very curious to us that we did the check in process before noon and it took them that long to prepare the rooms.

Check in time is AFTER 4 pm. This was a change made several years ago to give them an out. When they assign a room, it's ready when it's ready. Though if you make enough fuss, they will usually throw you a bone. Still, it does happen and does not mean the entire system is crumbling.
