I must say that when we went to Disneyland in April, there were photopass photographers Everywhere! And they all did GREAT jobs. They all informed me of all the special effects they could do. At Disney World (just got back yesterday), we found very few of them around. Not once did we see one at Haunted Mansion at any of the 3 days we were at MK (and we went by it at least twice each day). Only found 2 of them that could add the effects. I was just so disappointed. I know that they are not professional photographers, and I am grateful for the pics we did get. But even when I told them to take a bunch 'cause we were getting the CD, most only took 2 pics, and very fast at that. Didn't even get a chance to smile in some. I will continue to do photopass as long as I can share in a group, but I would never waste the money by myself for a CD if that few photographers are going to be around. Just my 2 cents. And I could not get over how many characters had no photographers around them.

We just returned from WDW as well and were eager to see our pictures from the photopass but were also disappointed. Some were out of focus and cropped poorly and in one case, when we were visiting Ariel at her grotto, they were switching photographers and so he onlt took one shot. Thank god i took many of my own pictures. We found the photopass people to be plentiful and most were very nice and tried different shots but I think I expected more than I actually got. We purchased the book too and actually are going to upload many of our shots to add to it. As far as effects go I think you can add them yourself if you have the time right on the photopass website.

Speaking of PhotoPass sharing, how do I go about finding a group to share with?

I guess we were lucky as we loved our pics from the last trip. We did check the pictures almost daily though to make sure any special ones were definately on there - and there were a few 'bad' ones and we coudl get them re-done. Not sure if it will be different on this trip but we'll see - if the pics are bad, we wont gt the CD - simple!!

When we went in Sept, we saw very few photopass people. In fact, we only had our picture taken the last day on our way out of Epcot. My daughter had quite a few, but we rarely saw them.

Look on the Budget Boards. Lots of groups, but they do fill up early on. It is usually a group of about 5-7 participating families. Your cost usually ends up about $18-20. Great deal!

 We truly had to search for photographers this trip!!!:sad2:
They were no where to be found> As it was we only ended up with 32 photos NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! believe me we looked. Most of our photos were the same shot taken twice.

Defienetly not a good deal

Have a magical nite

I just got back yesterday and we were practically tripping over the photopass photographers. They were mostly near the front of the parks or with the characters though. For example, on main street and near the castle they were everywhere but didn't even see one by the POTC ride.

At DHS they were on the main drag and in the area around the hat and down the street near ToT but didn't see them anywhere else in that park.

We didn't get to Epcot or AK this trip because it was so short.

I've never seen one near HM except for MNSSHP. I only did a couple since we did a ton of Photopass pics in September. I haven't looked at the pics yet though.

I'm hoping they'll be ok but I did notice the same thing about them not even giving you a chance to smile before snapping the first picture. They didn't pose DD and I to get the best shot in front of the castle either.

In Sept. the Photopass photographer we used posed us to get the best picture. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be fine. Oh well.

oh i hope that is not the case
I was not planning on taking that many pics of my own, now maybe I will have to. I like pics of the whole family together.

We went in August and I was very disappointed in the scarcity of photogs. I was shocked that there were absolutely none on Main Street for the EMH. Luckily, I found enough strangers to swap taking photos of each other's families - and they actually came out better than the Photopass ones. I only had one photographer tell me about the special effects and that was the one who takes photos of the Jedi Training in HS. Otherwise, the only reason I knew about them was from being on these boards. I had to be very aggressive to get the photographers to take our pictures and take them with special effects. I think I knew more than them from being on this board!

We were there in July and had a great experience with the photographers. Our CD has over 600 pictures on it (including the edited ones).
