Looks like we're not the only ones tired of the squares.


I don't know who the IDIOT, or IDIOTS are that like to waste space and time by entering squares, but this site should automatically block such nonsence. Until they do, I will be dumping all these messages, and not pass them on.

My curiousity got the best of me so I went to Oceangram to see what it was all about. I thought it was a really cute idea, so I sent a couple bottles, and recieved a couple (one of them asked if I liked turkey legs...). Nothing bad on them at all. So, I showed my daughter the site and let her try it, but she ended up getting an X-Rated message about lesbians. Really makes me mad that people cant follow the rules and "keep it clean and fun".
Has anyone else gotten any x-rated messages? Has anyone else let thier kids use Oceangram? Are there any kinds of filters on there?

I'm sorry your DD got a nasty message . I know others have also gotten "bad" messages. The best thing to do is copy and past it and send it to the oceangram email address (it should be on the bottom of the screen). I asked them once what type of filters they had and they only responded by telling me to ask the others on the board to forward explicit messages to them...maybe it will help them update their filters...I dunno.

Sorry that happened to you, too. I have had a few nasty ones, too. I have let my kids see a few, but after they watch them float in, I make them look away while I open and read it first. My daughter has sent a couple, but I won't be letting them open any without screening the message first.


BTW, I have been away, experiencing "real life" for a few days and there are like 100 more pages since Sat or Sun. I hope some of my bottles have been recieved, but I don't think I will be able to go through looking for them.

I got one that was completely gross about incest. I was the first one to receive it so I deleted it immediately. A filter probably wouldn't have caught it because it was implied. Yuck. Still shutter when I think about it. People need to play nice or not play at all.
