Vertigo

Thanks everyone. I have no idea on Meniere’s, this is my second go with this. My BP is low, always has been. I monitor it. I even checked, but it’s not like just a passing dizzy spell.

I am going to try the decongestants, I am going to walk to the pharmacy now. See if it helps. Sorry for all those dealing with this also.

It is funny you mention that @Pea-n-Me, because I told my husband at one point last night I was that close to just telling him call an ambulance, I was dizzy, sweating, a few other things I know the signs off, but it did pass.

Thanks again for The tips, thoughts and more ❤️

I’m not a dr. but I don’t think menieres / virtigo is related to high blood pressure, the low salt diet has to do with the amount of fluid in the inner ear which controls your equilibrium.
good luck

I have very low blood pressure also. Meniere's is an inner ear disorder. You might try to find an ENT that can direct you to the right specialist. It's worth an exam to find out.

Hypertension can cause dizziness in some cases. When my mother felt dizzy, that was usually the cause.

Oh I am so terribly sorry. I had no idea how thoroughly wretched vertigo was until I went through it a few years ago. Mine came about because of a migraine. My migraines are frequent, severe and intractable (so they don’t respond to medication). For vertigo I had meclizine. I also had occipital nerve blocks in the back of my head.
It has seriously changed the way I live my life. I avoid boats, amusement park rides, or elevators. I try to adapt my environment at work and home to keep lights dim. I avoid loud things like concerts, and even at church I need to wear ear plugs. I’m only 47 but I live like I’m 80.

Any chance this could be migraine-related for you?

That just reminded me, I always forget that part, but I was diagnosed with vestibular migraines. So instead of headaches (I once in a while get a regular migraine also) I get funky and weird in the head instead. I do ride rides at Disney though, I wear a patch.
