Vero? What would be toughest to get

during peak season (late March) using the 7 month booking...an Inn room, a studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedrrom? Thanks for any opinions.

For March 30-Apr 4 2003, I was able to get a 1 bed at Vero fairly easily at the 7 mo window. I called at the exact 7 mo window first thing in the am., and did the day by day thing. I believe they had "several" one beds available, but I took that to mean less than 10. Keep in mind this is not Easter week this year. Last year our spring break was Easter week, and there was no availability at 7 mo for a 1 bed. (I didn't have extra points that year anyway, but I asked just for future reference--we paid cash--with no discount --YIKES!!)

I can't comment on Inn room or two bed, since I was only interested in the 1 bed. Gayle

gayleBWV, that is interesting, as a management type at VB told me that the 1br was the most popular. Perhaps there are just many more of them.
A couple of years ago I tried to book a cash ressie (before DVC), but they were booked.

I booked a 2BR unit March 30-April 4 at the 7 month window day-by-day too, as we own at BWV. We received a 2BR lock-off. I asked how many they had, and she said a few. Which I took to mean 3 or 4. I specifically asked for a lock-off as they have a better chance of an ocean view. She did not mention if there were any dedicated units available.

Taking this thread a bit further....I have a question for all of you that use VB. What are my chances of getting a cottage at Vero Beach Sunday and Monday night during the first week of Aug. at the seven month window? Slim to none????

I wouldn't get your hopes up.You can always call and keep your fingers crossed.You would have a better chance if it was Friday and Saturday because of the higher pts.

Thanks ncligs for your prompt reply. I kinda/sorta thought the same thing and I am willing to book either a couple of one bedrooms or a two bedroom. We are going to "treat" some friends for a few days there before they "treat" us at OKW for the week before Drum Corp Finals!

You can always be put on the waitlist for the Beach Cottage also.

Last year (2001) I was able to get the cottage for the 2nd week of August on Sunday and Monday at the 7 month window. So maybe.
