Pam - We were in Cottage 1550 which is the next to last one on the south end of the resort. It was my first time to stay there in a beach cottage. They are truly stunning! Having the kitchen/living/dining areas upstairs is a wonderful idea! The weather was perfect for staying out on the deck. The ocean looked as blue as the sky, and every night was an amazing show of stars. The resort was full for the weekend. We had no children with us, but my sister in law and I attended the campfire on Friday night. It was really well done and the CM's did a great job. There were lots of activities for kids at the pool all weekend including a DJ and a lady doing sandcasting. The Green Cabin Room was lots of fun; they have live music nightly there, and we heard two different performers while there. The young man with a keyboard and percussion machine played our last night there. His name is Chris Valenti, and he is there on Sunday nights. He has been playing there for about 4 months, he said. He was really good. Played a wide variety of music and his voice was great. Everyone was up and moving! The food at Shutters was very good our first night there. We attended the Sunday brunch at Sonja's and it was also good. We at in Vero at Patio's on Friday night. We were there around 6:30 or 7:00 and they still had "early bird" specials. What a good deal! Soup, salad, wine, entree and dessert were all included for very reasonable prices and a large selection of entrees were available. I highly recommend Patio's. We visited the Hale Groves store and purchased fresh squeezed orange juice that was fantastic. The weather was in the low 80's during the day and around 70 at night. It was just a fantastic trip. I hope I get back there soon!
