thinking of trying to plan a week at Vero. I know that HH is very hard to get in the summer.......so wanted to know if there was a peak time for Vero or a very hard time to book Vero? We would probably like to go in the springtime.....so just wondering what it is like that time of year (or any other????)

also, do most one BR's have an ocean view.....or does it vary? (I always hear mention about the views of studios vs. inn rooms....but we would be interested in a one bedroom.)

Thanks!!!!!!!

Vero beach is a pretty easy ressie in general. We have succesfully booked the months April - November at 7 months. Although, we now always book DBD for anywhere.

I would say the best months are May-Jun and Sept - Nov.

1 bedrooms most likely do not have an ocean view. Studios either. Some (of either) have a sliver of a view. A couple have a good view. Only the OVIR have any gurarantee.

We really like the OVIR for the view, but we really like the 1bdrm for the laundry and kitchen. So, we alternate from trip to trip between them.

Check out this Vero map.The 1 bdrms are in the villa buildings 12, 14, and 15. The Building 12 area I believe lost a fair amount of vegetation in the last 2 hurricanes and is the best bet for getting a 1bdrm view.

I have been told the end of hurricane season is the slowest, and spring break is the busiest for booking times at Vero. We have stayed in the months of July and August and the only time we had trouble booking was when we wanted a Beach House (Grand Villa). Ultimately, we did get our ressie, however.

Vero is beautiful and a nice change of pace from WDW. As an add on to a WDW vacation or DCL cruise, you can wind down either before or after your trip. I prefer before the trip so that we can still have the excitement of WDW to look forward to!

We have gotten the first week of April the last 2 years at the 7 month mark . This is our Spring break week. I think you will not have any trouble. :goodvibes

We go at Easter time every year and it is always completely booked! The first year, I was able to get it right at the 7th month window opening. Then we bought there so no problems booking at 11 month window. We do a cash rate on the weekends with the DVC discount, which is an option if it is booked on points!:)

Feb-April is the prime tourist season for Florida (with the exception of WDW). Points are highest at Vero in this timeframe as well and you'll have the toughest competition.

I wonder if they will reallocate points at Vero since the Dodgers are moving their spring training site from Vero in 2008? Spring training starts at the end of Feb. - begining of march.
