Vero in September for non-vero DVC

Is it difficult to get Vero in September when booking at 7 month window?

We are hoping to stay there next year, but I am wondering if just buying a small contract there would be a reasonable choice. I wouldn't see us going more often than every other year, and September would generally be our choice time.

And I guess really the same type of question for HH: Our travel would probably be in either November or early May for there.

I have enough SSR points to book, but am just worried about timing at small resorts. Would appreciate any input.

I think you will be fine booking VB with your SSR points for a September visit. Call MS now, I'll bet you can get what you want, even this close out. Just my guess, but try it, see what's available this year for the week that you think you will be going.

PS. I am a VB owner because we do want a Beach Cottage down the line (hopefully next year) and that will have to be booked at 11 months for my peace of mind. However, we were at VB last week and met a fellow who booked the beach cottage for last week within the 7 month period.

You can probably get better answers from owners, but it is my impression that September would not be difficult at Vero (with the exception of Labor Day weekend). It also seems that HHI is not as difficult if you are not going during the prime summer months (June thru August). I think you will be fine.

Now that being said, as DVC grows and grows there are more members to make reservations anywhere at 7 months, so it could conceivably become more difficult to book anything at 7 months. If you have the money freed up it might not be a bad idea for a small contract to have the guarantee.

I think you will be fine. We have always been able to get Spring Break week for VB at the 7 month window.

We've gone a couple time in September and didn't have any problem booking either time.

I own at VWL. I just booked a stay at VB for September. I had no problems. As long as the hurricanes stay away, I'm sure it will be wonderful.
