I understand that Vero Beach resort has a lounge with live music at night. Can children attend? Mine are 11 (twins). I wasn't sure if this was a family friend environment or more of an adult thing.
Thanks,

Children are very welcome in the green cabin room, it's one of the reasons we like it so well. They used to even have children's games like shutes and ladders for them to play, but now they ask you to check them out from Eb and Flows and bring them up yourself. They do have Checkers built into some of the tables. They are happy to whip up milkshakes, etc. for the kids. It has a wonderful balconey to look out over the ocean during the day.

Only drawback to the place is that the restrooms are on the floor below a distance from the Green Cabin Room. Otherwise, its wonderful. Musicians will play to the kids, it's small and intimate, but not crowded. The music has always been good. The wait staff is off and on. We've had some questionable service. WE've had some great service other times. Enjoy.

I'm SO glad to hear this! Last time we heard some really good music playing, but we didn't go because we weren't sure if the kids would be welcomed. We will give it a try next time.
Thanks!

While VB is not at WDW, it is a Disney resort, and kids are always welcome at all Disney locations.

Have a great trip.

Actually its a great question. Kids aren't allowed at Jellyrolls and some places on Pleasure Island.

They have a tasty wheat crust pizza. Ate it twice in 4 nights.

I was looking at the menu at allears.net and I think we will have dinner here. I want to try their pizza!

Thanks everyone for your help.

We love the Green Cabin Room.
However, I'm not sure if it was just our lucky day, but we couldn't order frozen drinks because they don't have straws there. Has anyone else noticed that? The bartender on duty informed us when we went to order frozen drinks. Needless to say, we ordered his recommendation and were extremely pleased that we did!

The straw issue - I believe it has to do with being an ecology friendly resort. We were told It could be harmful to turtles when they are not disposed of properly, so they don't offer them at all./Donna

Our family loves the Green Cabin Room - it's a great place to relax a bit, have fun with the kids, too. We got a lot of use out the the checkers/chess sets that were available.
We got in the habit of having our dinner-time dessert there, instead of having a dessert at whatever restaurant we were having dinner at---

Speaking of the refillable mugs - what are they currently charging for them, and what "style" are they? Do they fit in car cup holders or are they still using the older version which are more bulky and do not fit in car cup holders? Thanks ::MinnieMo Donna
