Vero for Thanksgiving

Is Vero as popular for Thanksgiving as HHI? I don't seem to think so from what I've read. Does anyone go there for Thanksgiving?

We've thought about it, maybe staying Wednesday-Friday. We thought about it last year, but luckily didn't because they had that "red tide" going on. It would certainly be less hectic than WDW.

Thanks Starr. The point totals for HHI that week are so cheap I can see why it's popular. We were talking about VB for Turkey Day maybe one year.

We thought about it last year, but luckily didn't because they had that "red tide" going on.

Red Tide baadd.... Can make you have bad cold like symptoms.

When we planned a Thanksgiving trip a few years ago, the only DVC resort we could get in to from the Wed. before to the Fri. after Thanksgiving was Vero, so we went there first then drove up to WDW and stayed at OKW for the weekend (we made the reservations in July). We had two garden view Inn rooms at Vero for the six of us, as there were no villas available. We had a really nice time. Vero was full, and there was a lot going on. They had several seatings for a Turkey day buffet.

Did they have the buffett set up in Shutters?

The buffet was set up in Sonya's. This was a few years back, so I'm not sure if they still do it that way.

They had Easter brunch set up in Shutters this year, and I think used Sonya's for seating.
