We have never stayed at Vero. What is the difference between the Inn rooms and a Studio?
Do any of the studios have ocean view?

Well now... the real difference is whether you get an Ocean View Inn Room (OVIR) or a Garden View Inn Room (GVIR). The OVIR gives you a direct view of the ocean, the Garden view might be a view of the parking lot. The studios are in the out-buildings (not like a porta-potty) They just are in smaller buildings that are not going to give you any view other than the walkway around the buildings. All things considered...... you still need to be diligent about getting an OCEAN FACING Inn room, because you can get an OVIR that is actually facing the pool, but still has an off-to-the side view of the ocean.
We love the OVIR rooms. The OVIR rooms in general have two queen beds. It is my understanding that there are four rooms on the fourth floor that have a king and sleeper sofa. The studios have that King bed/sleeper sofa format. This year we are going to try for one of those king/sofa rooms in the Inn.
Both the studio and the inn room have a bar sink, microwave, and small refrigerator. Typically, we prefer a one bedroom that has a full kitchen and full laundry in the unit, but we just love the view and sounds when staying in the OVIR.
Soooo....... we typically switch between the OVIR and the one bedroom from vacation to vacation.
Bottom line... I would never choose a studio over an OVIR room at VB. We prefer the view to the bedding arrangement.

The CM told me the king size bedroom units OVIR had closed balcony's. Since you have been there, you would know. But thought I would mention this just in case this proves to be true.
Hi there Mr. "R".......when I made my ressie for August, I requested the 4th floor, middle of building with an open balcony. The CM told me the king size bedroom units OVIR had closed balcony's. Since you have been there, you would know. But thought I would mention this just in case this proves to be true.
Do all of the Inn rooms have balconies? And should I call member services ahead of time to request an Ocean FACING room? We have a OVIR reserved but I wonder if I should make that a specific request or just wait til we arrive?
Yes. In fact, I think all DVC rooms have balconies (above ground, of course). No use trying to reserve an ocean facing room. Just be sure to ask for it when you check in, and if they don't have one ready ask if one will become available, and if so, then you can be next on the list for the next available one. They can tell you which units will be available and they will put your name on that room if you want.
