My wife and are are planning on going to Vero Beach December 8-10 (2 nights). I am going back and forth on adding a third day. Can anyone recommend things to do in that area? I am worried we will get bored.

Thanks.

Do you like to bike ride? The Pelican Island NWR is a bike ride away, or there are closer destinations. In Ft Pierce there's a Manatee nature area. We have taken a boat ride through the Inland Waterway sponsored by the Environmental Learning Center that is near the VB resort. In winter, we have mainly done nature type things. There are also a few treasure coast museums in the area. Some in my family have enjoyed massages at Vero.

I've taken a few 5 night January trips to VB, they all ended too soon.

Recommend going to Ocean Grille restaurant. We were there two nights ago. Food and service was amazing. Decorations for Halloween were unbelievable. They said they decorate like crazy for Christmas too.

McKee Botanical Gardens, McLarty Treasure Museum, Vero Beach Historical and Ghost Tour, Outlet mall, Environmental Learning Center, Museum of Art, Boat tours - there really is a lot more to do than most people realize. Google things to do around Vero Beach - you will be surprised.

It looks like we might be staying at VB for the first time next month. We are getting there Thanksgiving day & staying Thursday and Friday night before we have to Fort Lauderdale to go on a cruise. I am excited to try it out, but also kind of nervous we will be bored. This thread has been great for giving me some ideas of what to do while we are there and has made me feel more confident. Thank you!

There is also the Navy Seal museum in Ft. Pierce, which is just south of Vero. It was interesting and is where the seals first started.
