Vero Beach - Warning

I wanted to post this to let anyone traveling to Vero this week know that there are terrible fires just north of Vero Beach. If you are planning on traveling from Orlando you will need to check the local news as several parts of I-95 and Hwy 1 are shut down.

The smoke is so heavy that it is rolling across the ocean here at the Inn and looks like dark grey clouds.

Other than that the weather is gorgeous here and the resort is even better than the pictures give it credit for.

I try to get my report posted this weekend. As a first time visitor I have a lot of information that may be helpful to others who have not been here before.

Make sure to keep the balcony door closed!...you wouldn't want to be assessed a fine for the smoke !!!!

I was there this past weekend, drove back monday the 19th. Fires there under control. Could smell it in teh morning. You can see the devistation near, by, and thru the highway

Lorrie, thanks for the info. I am anxious to read your report. We've been considering adding on there but have never been, we just love the beach that I think we would love it there!
